But how do you set it up for hybrid? That's what I'll be using on this car again.
Do you remember how you had it on your old car? It will be the exact same. Only difference is the ewg vs iwg. If you can wait ill draw you a pic and txt it to you in the am.

No idea man. Grant said he is very interested in doing it, but needed to take to his boss first, which won't be until Wednesday. I'll send him a message and see what he things as far as a price goes.

Why is that? If Rob's 5 Speed held up to his 18g and e85 then your 4EAT can stand up to the vf39 and pinks.

I'd be doing the same thing you're doing Louie. I wish I had a 6 speed to drool over... maybe tax time.

The VF 39 has the usual crack.. Haven't looked at it closely so I am not sure of the over all condition of it. I have been looking at a blouch TD05 16g XTR but I am not sure what will make me happy, I have Tomei headers and up pipe on the Sabaru now, with the blouch I think it spool pretty quick? I know I wanted a twin scroll set up but it would get pricey quick and it's probably not worth all the trouble.

It depends on what you want from the car. What kind of driving are you trying to set it up for?

The 16G-XTR says spool, but those headers will increase 2-400 rpm of your spool time (make it take longer). The stock headers have smaller primaries, so less volume to fill. They create a choke point compared aftermarket headers in the upper RPM range though.

With headers, you really should be going for a 20g or 30r. With a 16g you should have stock manifolds with ported crossover, STi or aftermarket up pipe with an external wastegate. Wrap the manifold, up pipe, and the first 4' of the down pipe and you'll get the best spool you can. Do TGV deletes and that spool will increase another 1-200 rpm.
