Anyone know if the kzoo subaru dealership (maple hill) is mod friendly in relation to warranties? How about up in GR?

I find them overall worth it for simple stg 1+2 applications. Unless you have the know how/want to do it your self with your laptop. To each there own on that. We own one for both our wrx and STi both are running non ots maps but they are still useful for data logging/checking on the car overall.

It's a 2013 with 300 miles and a 100k warranty so I guess I'll wait a while to make sure there are no major lemon issues before I start to mess with things!

Good choice. Dealerships will allow factory options to not interfere with their warranty if they are installed by them, but a factory upgrade (SPT) isn't much of an upgrade.

A SPT exhaust is more of a factory ripoff have you seen the cost of one :/...but they do sound pretty good

I think the same way, it was crazy expensive and pushed the price of the car up to almost the next trim level.

But then I fire it up and drive away. I think it is money well spent after that.
