You can try to work something out with SOA and delta. I have seen people luck out that are close to there end date and SOA will pick up cost for labor or parts which is better then the full cost.

You guys have any idea on what could be causing me to loose a ton of spool after i change to a smaller intercooler? Last week car was running fine, some stuff happend with a coolentline rubbing on my sti topmount so i had to switch back to the stock wrx one. I lost alot of torque and power overall according to vd and looking at charts comparing logs boost is coming on really really slow but not that much later overall. Or is this just the hot weather and my head messing with me?

Nice alliteration Aron!

Hey anyone swap out their front speakers? I'm trying to figure out which speaker harness I need...not sure what the polarity is and I don't have a multimeter to check it.

Hot weather will do it, are you sure there are no leaks? that would be my first guess. I forgot to tighten the turbo to y pipe connection once and that killed my boost.

Well I wouldn't think there would be anymore pressure drop with a WRX tmic. However it is smaller and is not able to cool down the air as much. So you easily could see a drop in Power going back to a smaller tmic, especially if you were tuned on the STI tmic.

Perhaps there is a boost leak in the wrx tmic (Y-Pipe)?

Boost leak. Time to check all your connection.

If they will cover it under warranty, I wouldn't hesitate to pay $100 to have it towed.

So what happen was I had no oil in my engine, never had any indicator light come on for my oil till last night and that was for a spilt second. They said I need a new block. I just had my oil changed about a month ago. Why the hell would I be burning through my oil that fast? It still covered under warranty but because there was no oil they said I needed to call SOA. and just got off the phone with them. I have to prove all my oil changes that been done since I got the car. Which might be a bit hard too do. otherwise I have to pay 900 for a tare down of the engine. to see if they can find what cause it.

No way should the engine consume that much oil, unless you drive 5-10k miles a month. . . on a rally course.

You would notice 5qts of oil on your garage floor if that were the case.

I feel like I have read some where that Subaru said its normal for the motor to burn up to a qt of oil every 1000 miles. So if that's the case and you haven't checked the oil in 5k miles= no oil.

Yeah, Subaru states that in the owners manual. But still, if you were that low on oil, how did you not notice a clatter at startup?

Oil light doesn't come on in our cars for low level, just low pressure, and if I remember correctly, it doesn't trigger until it's in the single-digits for pressure.

When that light goes off, it's already too late.

Hmm that seems high. Think you can get a new STI block for $1800.
