I don't think a 275 is necessary. But if you are set on 275, go with a 275/35. A 40 series would be too tall and really tough to fit. I think a 265/35 would be a good size to run on an 18x10, also depending on what brand tires you are going with, some run a little wider than others. My specs are 18x9.5+40 with 255/35 federal RSR. I had to roll all 4 fenders.

Rob, do you have that exhaust manifold I need? And are you coming down into town tomorrow Aron? I'll need that engine oil dipstick by tomorrow evening I think.

Getting the head studs from Levon tomorrow, and then I can start reassembling the long block.

Yeah Rob, they put the heads back together for me. They were ready to bolt on when I picked them up.

Found some STi control arms for the car for 200 shipped. Seem like a good deal?

Hey guys I've got some questions.

First, I need a good inexpensive place to get my wheel bearings done since I just got my full wheel bearing kit from 42?

Second, and not car related at all, where is a good place to go to the "beach" near here? My friend is coming out for a week and we need stuff to do with her kids, so I figured the lake?

Grand Haven.

No idea on the wheel bearings.. That's probably going to be very expensive.

I hate the sound of a EL header, but there's a BattleGround 1.5 Scroll going for 250 shipped.. I think in my quest for super quick spool this is a necessity. Anyone agree or disagree?

I'd have to add a massive muffler on the back so I don't sound like a Honda, but if I go EWG then that's all the noise I'd need anyways.

I'll take your manifolds and that dipstick if you don't mind.

You can drop it off in the WRX if you feel like it, or I can come pick that stuff up, just let me know.

Aron, are you running STi arms on your car? Looking at doing this and gaining the track width would be nice because this will eventually have sedan fenders on it, but just wondering if I need to step up to the sedan axles too. I think I can keep my wagon width sway if I build some spherical endlinks.

Hey guys, i got 4 rotors off a 2013 STi with 3800 Miles on it, the stock STi suspension, and will have the Stock Lower Control Arms for sale, if anyone is looking for pretty much brand new stuff, get at me, I'm going to be in Grand Rapids Friday night and up at firestone Saturday Morning. Also, I might have the stock tires up for sale too, i'm putting some winters on the stock wheels and the rubber won't fit the volks. Let me know
Also The main reason i put this in here is to help out my local Subie friends, I hate craigslist, and i hate people who arn't passonate enough to set up an account on here to add to the community.

hello strangers...so did this over the weekend

At any rate...gonna start looking into stage 2 setup soon. The car is actually starting to feel slow to me.

Few things:
A. Do you know anyone selling a full setup
B. How much can i get a deal for a new one
C. Wear and tear on trans? (Heard it can hurt it a bit, but maybe that was the 5-speed WRX)
D. Added horsepower?
E. Safe with 125k on the engine and trans? (new clutch and flywheel)

Complete Car part out, or engine power classifieds.
B. How much can i get a deal for a new one
New one what? Up pipe, down pipe, turbo back, injectors, and filter? Depends on brand and size, but expect in the thousand dollar range without a tune/tuner.
C. Wear and tear on trans? (Heard it can hurt it a bit, but maybe that was the 5-speed WRX)
None. 6 speeds are fine.
D. Added horsepower?
You can expect to be in the 300whp range.
E. Safe with 125k on the engine and trans? (new clutch and flywheel)
Ringlands are your only issue, but at your power level you should be ok.
And you're right, I don't think his suspension would fit.
