My customer in Bakersfield CA was in the process of building one. He's going crazy with body mods. He made an actual hood that opens normally and a few other cooling mods to the body. They are sweet cars. He's powering with an ls6 that's not even close to stock. Should be a killer track beast. He only lives about 15 mins from buttonwillow.

That's sweet.

This one is being set up for top speed, mostly standing mile runs. If you look towards the back of the car, you can see where they chassis is being elongated.

Anyone have any recommendations for a place that does tints around GR? Was looking at Extreme Customs over on 28th, anyone ever dealt with them?

Also how are the local cops about tints on the front windows? I am considering doing 35% on the fronts and 25% on the rears, just wondering if the cops here are a real PITA about it or not.

Extreme does good work. Good pricing and they do a good one-piece in the rear.

Check them out.

As for cops, it all depends on what area you are most frequent in. GR police dont really care, but Kent county Sheriffs do.

I just got pulled over the other day by a state trooper because when I saw him coming I rolled my fronts down. He pulled me over to tell me to leave them up next time I see a state trooper because "they dont give a ****."

He told me that he thought the car looks good with them up, and when its cold out and I have them both rolled down, its obvious to him I am trying to hide something, lol.

Then he let me go.

So Nick,

Jagger woke up Sunday morning asking me to let him do something earn a dollar...He says he's saving for a Dodge Viper....

..... ended up spending said dollar later that day on a Dodge Viper hot wheel at Target. Just what he needs...another ****ing Hot Wheel.

He's about as good at holding on to money as I am.

Nobody around town has one. Nobody, along with myself, has/had the kahones (sp?) to cut a hole in their roof.

If you actually rally, sure do it. Otherwise you're limiting your pool of potential buyers if you decide to sell the car.

I highly recommend Extreme Car Audio on 28th, i've had 3 cars tinted there, and When i got busted by the cops they took it off for free.

The only cop that cared, was a noob at fresh from the academy.

He's doing a widebody wagon with a six speed, in red. The potential buyers is already limited.

Awesome, just set up my appointment. A little bit pricey at 199.99, but you guys seem to have a lot to say about them so I don't mind.

If you are talking about the Spec C style roof vent...then hell yea! Honestly I think most buyers would appreciate that vent and looks clean when it sits flush with the roof when closed...I should look into getting one, since I pulled my AC out hahaha.

Knock on wood*

I've only been bothered by some old man GRCC cop. He said "we get a little hokey when we see front windows tinted." Whatever that means.

Anything fun going on in GR this weekend? I'm going to be in town Friday night though Monday morning visiting my parents. Just wondering if anyone had plans for a night out on the town. Its been awhile since I've been in GR...kinda itching to get to Founder's for a beer.
