Default Fuel smell coming from passenger rear wheel well

I walked into my garage to go check the pressures of my tires. I had noticed a slight fuel smell in the garage and didn't think anything of it. I then walked around the car and checked the pressures, and when I bent over to check the passenger rear wheel the smell of gasoline was strong. Gas cap is secured, no leaks under the car, and the other wheel wells don't smell. The interior doesn't smell of fuel either. Any ideas?

Thanks.

He said around the rear wheel not engine bay and I don't remember seeing anybody with a 05+ saying they had that fuel leak in the engine.

I have the same thing happening w/ my 04 Wagon. I just installed a Walbro255...didn't get the smell until I filled the tank up.

I took off the cover above the fuel pump and it looks/smells like the gas is seeping out from the rear of the fuel pump cover. I readjusted the gasket...but still have seepage.

I ordered a new gasket today and will bring it by the stealership to have them install it. That way I can blame them if it's not fixed.

LMK.

Yep, the tank was topped off, and then I crushed my woodruff key. Wasn't able to drive the car for 3 days, had it towed to a shop, and they fixed it. So I had put two 5 mile trips on my car in 4 days with a full tank. I haven't noticed the problem again.
