Well, there are enough of us. So, how much interest is there? Thinkning on a Sunday sometime, as most of us are probably free. Let's take a head count.

Is the event on the track, or is it a parking lot and cones solo event?

So, what if, prior to the AutoX, or maybe this weekend, we could meet and boot around on some dirt roads.
BTW, my boss and his Z3, are in for the AutoX, I just have to remember to lose to him |

I don't know if i want to scrub my rubber for orange cones. I think I'll wait till I can get some real track time.
As for dirt roads around Hamilton, I think you will be a little disapointed. There just is not that much. There are short sections that almost always have houses on them and they are kinda scattered. The good roads are all up north. Wait for the next rally and go exploring. The forks of the credit is still covered in sand! |

It's a stretch of road...actually there are supposed to be two, some great corners, all different types...noth east of Milton or something like that. Big sportbike run. Never been out there myself.

We did a Toronto Subaru Club, Forks of the Credit Cruise tour last november for our club.
The theme revolved around "Rally Pace Note" introductions. We made up pace notes for a 16 Km stretch of the "Forks of the Credit" area. The roads consisted of various elevations from steep gravel grades, hard packed earth type roads, to rough tarmac, to smooth tarmac. The roads are excellent and the route we mapped out consisted of hundreds of corners. It's quite the nice place to drive, tree covered stages with single lane bridges ending in "Kay Left" onto easy right 70 -, into hard right -, don't cut... Type of runs. Anyways, here's a pic of one of the famous forks Double Hairpins. ![]() If you're interested in the course map and pace notes, I think I still have them handy in electronic format. Enjoy |

I found this map at http://www3.sympatico.ca/elhum/
Also, yesterday, I was on an amazing, but short, road. It's in Stoney Creek and it's oneway going up the escarpment. It has a 'left over tracks/jump into a right' among other things I can't remember the name, but its the only road off of Ridge road that oneway going uphill |
