Default Fortune Auto coilovers?

Has anyone used them? If so how well were they made?

Fortune auto? Never heard of it. Something that no one has ever heard of, let alone used, is something I'd avoid.

Well a few people I know have used them, sjs0433 used them on his car and they worked out well. As well as a bunch of 240sx guys.

Did Edgar Allen Poe make them?

I haven't heard of them either.

Let's see here. They sound very familiar with Meagan Racing and the 40 way adjustable crap. They don't even tell you what the damper adjustments are (rebound, compression, high/low speed etc..), perches that are going to corrode after the first round of salt and no information on travel numbers.

Sounds pretty crappy to me.

i'd say they'd be fine for a teg but not for an STi.. go with someone that knows their stuff. a set from Racecomp engineering or Turn in concepts.

I've rode in a few cars with their suspension and can honestly say they do ride ok. I'm friends with a guy who drove their EVO at VIR and he was impressed as well.

as stated before sjs0433 had them and loved them. This is a relatively new company. I driven a 240sx with them installed and they were fantastic compared to my JIC's. Definetly does not ride like a d2 or megan

I pulled this off the site
http://www.fortune-auto.net/Images/FORTUNE.jpg

I know they are really big locally on the VA forums

Yeah, I've been in some 240's that had them and they rode really well. Just wanted to know if anyone had heard of them.

"Fantastic compared to my JIC's" is like saying "Fantastic compared to getting stabbed in the eye with a rusty spork while bathing in sulfuric acid and having my lower intestine ripped out and played like a banjo".

Just sayin'.

This topic and a similiar topic in the MAIC has "viral marketing" written all over it.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing.

Anyone who knows anything about Subaru suspensions should know by now that you can't dump **** unless you want to dump your handling as well.

Check out the plot. It has the path to the file:

c:\banco prova ammortatizzatore\test\BAD

That almost looks like Italian. Except for the BAD

OK, so the first plot doesn't have force vs speed, just force vs displacement. Is that useful?

The 2nd one has the force vs speed graph:

It looks like the Fortune stuff is really, really linear. I'm not that good at this, but from reading the thread, that sounds pretty undesirable for motorsports stuff... smart people?

You guys really need to lighten up
They market coilovers on several forums. They never advertised to dump your WRX.

Here is an excerpt from another thread in another forum
Just because they say you can go low does not mean you have to. I am pretty sure that we all know slamming your car is not the ideal setup and having low offset wheels with stretched tires. It’s not always about the performance.

Quote:
For reference some pictures on our race car

AND YES IF YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT PERFORMANCE AND JUST WANT TO LOOK GOOD THESE WILL GO LOWER THEN MOST COILOVERS ON THE MARKET

Some pics on our Demo cars (WARNING This is ridiculous low)
