Default supercharger ej25d questions

i know theres a company called raptor that sells supercharger kits for the subie. i honestly dont want to order it from Australia cuz i think shipping would be awful. is there any subaru part websites that stocks this kit or the parts for it. and one more thing how come all the kits use the same supercharger but run different psi?

All you have to do is change the size of the pulley to change the boost on a supercharger...

I'm pretty sure they have a retailer in Canada who you can buy the kit through, though the shipping really isn't too bad when you consider what you're saving over anything else available (aside from completely building one up yourself)

Send them an email, or just PM me and I'll be glad to connect you to Tim and company

go to http://www.rs25.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97081 for a complete answer to almost any questions you could have on the kits

Jey- you also have to change your engine management when you upgrade I believe.. doubling the PSI will confuse the ECU if it hasn't been given new parameters to work with. Then again, they could have it all programmed in to begin with, I don't really know. Also, if you upgrade beyond 6 psi, you will need bigger injectors and an intercooler, and while those are fairly quick and cheap fixes, one should definitely keep that in mind

Also, just to make a confusing bit of info clear, the prices on the Raptor website are in Australian dollars.. Converted to American currency, the price of the 5-6 psi kit is actually $2,500 or so

nonsense, it would be all for the better. Think about it from your car's point of view, and have a heart.. Imagine you're 60 years old and just can't move like you used to (and it's only gonna get worse), then some kickass dude comes along and gives you the body of a Greek God to live out the rest of your life with, even though all the sex, drugs and rock n' roll is likely to shorten your lifespan by a year or two.

Do it.. For your car
