I don't visit Portland as much as I used to, but I've always stayed at The Nines. Very nice luxury hotel, only been open for 5-6 years. Excellent top-floor restaurant and bar. Look it up, if you're interested PM me and I could see about nabbing a steal of a rates package. Used to work in management at a top Starwood hotel in Seattle and still have many, many contacts. Family & Friends discount FTW!

I've heard the Jupiter is pretty sweet. I've never been, but me and the woman looked into it for our trip to Oregon this summer

I like the embassy suits downtown. Right by Portland city grill. Walking (stumbling) distance to the bars. It's also a 10 dollar cab ride to casa diablo! You HAVE to do casa for a bachelor party!

Acrop has the best steak for sure. As for freaky chicks. Casa rules it all! It's not for the faint of heart lol.

We've stayed at pretty much every hotel in downtown Portland. Yes, the benson, Lucia, Hotel 50, Acropolis, etc, are nice, but most of them have smaller room sizes. Our last 5-trips to PDX we've stayed at 1 of the 2 Marriotts, as I believe the Marriott's are the best bang for the buck- they also have deals that will include breakfast. The Original is a great place to eat as well, and is attached to the Courtyard Marriott, which was just totally remodeled. In any case, don't pay for parking at ANY of the aforementioned hotels. Union Bank, located right by all of these hotels on Broadway, has public parking- $16 gets you 24hrs, whereas all of the hotels will charge $30+ for valet, per day. Literally, the public garage always has parking and has 24hr security.

Jupiter was pretty sick, just stayed last weekend. They have a bar with an outside area and fire pit, plus an underground garage for like 9 bucks a night to keep your subie safe lol. It was like 180 a night with taxes
