Here's my recent, but VERY old school acquisition. Winchester 1985 lever action. Serial number shows a build date of 1912.

Old and New school...

UTG has no place on a real firearm.

What rail is that? I like the looks of the UTG ones on these guns a lot. Mine came with the Chaos on it. Definitely not light weight.

Order from CSS should be here today with magpul ctr, receiver block, m4 style folding mechanism, buffer tube, magpul angled afg, and rail covers.

I will not be using the rail covers, but I have been very happy with my UTG rail on my mossburg 12 gauge.

You never said what rail that is for the saiga. Have you found a gun yet? I know there was a group buy on seattleguns awhile back and a few non converted ones on there for sale too.

It is a UTG rail. I have found a weapon, local shop is getting me what I want:-) the rail is billet and light and for under a C note I figured I would try it. If* it doesn't meet my standards I will go with a CSS unit.unit.

You'll have to let me know how you like it. Maybe do a side by side comparison when you get her built. I'm like a kid at christmas waiting for my parts to get here.

I wouldn't trust airsoft crap on a firearm. There are so many smaller companies out there that have competitive prices with UTG, yet are of adequate build quality. Just sayin.

The last time I went to a gun show all it was was a bunch of crap old guns and gen 1/2 glock 17s for $550. I hear the portland offerings are way better though.

Also, dont forget to check Cabelas, they have awesome sales periodically, especially on 5.56/.223. I've also snagged some great deals on match ammo, JHPs, et.c

^Nice pick up! Try a Hogue Handall Jr. slip on grip. Feels great on my PM9.

Got all my parts in and installed today, just don't have a castle nut wrench to tighten everything down. I was a little under impressed with the ace folding mechanism. Sitll has some "wiggle" in the locked position. But other than that everything is good to go.

Anyone up north have a wrench i could borrow? Otherwise I will just take it to a new little gun store I discovered today. Super nice folks. I think an AR is in my future soon.

They are selling what? An AR? $600 is a screaming deal depending on the upper and lower.

I've been holding off on picking up a AAC Remington 700 for awhile now, seems like a great starting platform with a 1 in 10 twist and a 20in barrel that is already threaded

More info on this if you've got it. Or at least their number.

Here are the pics of the saiga. Next I'm going to polish the internals, and then figure out something for sights or optics.

The only issue i'm having is the buffer tube seems to be out of spec or something because this stock doesn't slide for crap on there. I put another buddies CTR on it is tight as well, but smooth on his AR. I think there might be some residue or something because the more i work it between positions it seems to be getting better. The tromix knurled bolt handle extension is super nice too. Well worth it. Folding adapter works well, a little wiggle on lock up but nothing i can't live with.

Curts deal is super sick.

$600
magpul; buttstock, grip, hand gaurds
soft case
30 round magazine

the lower is machined up in Wa W/ all US made parts cant rember the barrle specs

oh yea, you get to choose from ANY color options black, green, grey, tan any Magpul color....

That saiga looks the tits man. very very nice. personally i was worried about the tightness of the folding stock so i went with the non folder option.

I had the same issue with my buttstock on my AR. i ended up just sitting in front of the TV one night and just broke it in. in and out for an hour or so... now it is smooth as butter.

Anyone have opinions on the Kel-Tec P11? Considering for my first purchase and possible future CC, but I've heard it's not as fun to take to the range.
