my saiga shot well all day, 100 rounds of wallmart bird shot, and a few 1600+fps goose rounds that throw fire balls. then i had a few set screws break the locktite on the buttstock.

simple fix, but ended the day. i want to do a full tear down today and give it a good once over.

for my old lady's birthday I made her a new target. She loves duck dynasty....

5.56 vs steel is kinda iffy. Held up to 9mm nicely.

yeah after seeing the 223 was doing that kinda dammage we backed the targets up a bit. Where do you get your AR500 stuff? I've been seeing stuff online.

Ar500 or T1 steel. T1 is a bit softer, but still holds up well. Very minor dimples from 5.56 or .308. You should be able to pick it up at any steel yard.
Dave, T1 is what my rectangular plate is made from.

This is not my shot gun. But based on the state of dis-repair this guys handgun was in who knows what caused the barrel to blow.

I don't know I hadn't touched it all afternoon. I know they where shooting slugs out of it earlier. I know the beretta 92fs owned by the same guy was in such a state of disrepair that it was FTE every single round. The shell that popped the barrel was winchester bird shot. I'm thinking that one of the slugs squibbed and he didn't notice then loaded up some birdshot.

It just further instills my fear of bringing 'some' of my friends to a range. I'm just glad nobody was hurt 5 people where standing within 20 feet of him.

Dang, he got really lucky. i'm sure you told him that already though. People just pull the trigger and don't pay attention. I've had a few situations where I have double checked and even field stripped when something didn't sound right. Never had a blockage but better safe then maimed/dead.

We had that issue on day while on a company "fun day" with some people near us thinking they were gangstar shooting sideways and double pistols.
So we brought out the Barret .50 and the Windrunner .50 and proceeded to claim our firepower superiority on some targets down range.

The gangstars left shortly after, they did not like the concussion blasts coming from us

I know I've been looking at one of those savage Mark II FV-SR 22 bolt actions that come with a threaded barrel.

Not that I needed another conceal carry gun, but I've been wanting a P938 and finally found a place that had one, ended up being an impulse buy which I have no regrets.

By far the BEST sights on a sub compact PERIOD and the trigger... SA perfection, would prefer if it was a little lighter around 4-5 lbs, but I can live with the heavier trigger as crisp and short as it is.

I have carried them all, but this is by far my favorite. After carrying polymers the last few years, I am happy to find a metal frames ultra compact and you can't tell from the pics, but this thing is tiny. Not all that much bigger than a P238, best of all you're not having to compromise with a 380.
