Its definately offroad related.

But at work here we are sponsoring a Iditarod Musher, and having a little contest for him as he departs tomorrow on his 1146 mile dogsled race across Alaskka.

Sound off in support, or participate, its just kinda cool so I thought I would share.

found a khaki LJ with 17k miles at a dealer. They want $20k. $17k looks more reasonable. One of my favorite colors. What are good options for a hardtop for the LJ?

Also Factory Hardtops pop up on Craigslist here constantly... LJ's less so but they are around.

Not new content by any means (from a 2010 writeup of a build of a 2008 Rubicon by the watermarked mag, I believe) but I stumbled across the pics tonight. 37"s with only 2.5" lift and flat fenders, and a ProRock 44 in front. Looks awesome, imo.

LOL... Try the OX covers they are about 1/2"-1" (in spots) of solid machined billet steel.

Just a good idea for everyone who reads in here. If you are running offroad you need to use Outerwears prefilters, they will stop 90% of water ingestion, unless your silly enough to submerge your intake without a snorkel.

Its amazing how a $10 part saves a $1000 motor.

The guy who designed it is a tinkerer and doesn't comment much on wtf Gr8tops is doing but he did say-

If I bought another wrangler, I'd probably leave the hard top on permanently. I hated my soft top, and the hard was a bitch to remove. I hate convertibles anyway.

I lurk this thread because I have constant day dreams of buying some sort of terribly impractical second car or another. That and I need to learn about truck tires before mine need replacing.

You've seen that the '11+ Sahara and '12+ Rubicon are available with color-matched hard tops (and fender flares, if you plan on keeping them stock), no? Makes them look much more "permanent."
