there we go. The tan and black ones are interesting (not the history on the black one though). Location is hard.

I've got a line on an '06 with 60k miles for $15k. Not a rubi though

Yeah, depending on what you want to do that's worth roughly $3k or more if the rear is a D35.

I worked at a stand alone Jeep dealership from 1997 to 2000, and have owned one YJ, 2 TJ's, one 1998 5.9 Grand Cherokee Limited, and one KJ. Our dealership also helped out with the Jeep Jamboree at Natural Bridge Kentucky for 3 years. Back in the day, I've been know to spend quite a bit of time offroad, and underneath my Jeep fixing it up.

I took a hiatus from the Jeep scene in late 2008 with my new STi...but I'm proud to say, I'm back full circle.

I ordered it to my specifications, and picked it up about a month ago.
So far, I don't have a single complaint!

Mods to date aren't much...
Black ARB Diff Covers front and rear, Tuffy Underseat Concealed Carry Lock Box, and the EVO Protek Skidplate system.
I'm not planning a lift until the tires wear out...but I'm going to have everything else gone in the mean time...sleeves, gussets, RCV front shafts, chromoly rear shafts, a few interior mods, bumpers, lights, and a winch.

Nice indeed!

I've been driving a JK for the past week and they are damn nice - very refined.

I need to drive one. Maybe today. Went and sat in an orange Sahara last night as well as a new Evoque Prestige (gorgeous inside).

Found a local dealer selling their MW3's for $5-6k off. Makes it somewhat attractive, given I'd get the AEV front bumper and hood anyways.

My wife thinks I'd be unhappy in a JK after driving the Benz. Different vehicles and fun in their own ways.

I will say this - JK's don't feel like Jeeps. They're great, but it feels like driving any other SUV.

That said, I would still get one in a heartbeat because I LOVE the 2012 interior as well the the exterior aesthetics. JK + 2.5" lift & 35's = win.

-----

Ok, noob question time:

So I need to replace my shocks and I've narrowed it down to Bilstein 5100's. Can I just incorporate those into whatever budget Pro Comp lift my LJ currently has? Or should I pony up a grand and buy a nicer kit entirely? I'm trying to save money but I don't want to sacrifice performance at all and am open to spending some cash if it really is the wiser option.

Thanks guys.

If you're happy with the way your LJ drives and you don't plan on doing any crazy wheeling I'd just stick with what you have. The 5100's will work just fine as a replacement for your current shocks, just make sure you get the appropriate length.

I LOVE the way it drives but the shock bushings are shot so every little bump feels ****ing ridiculous. All I want is to soften up the ride so that I'm not afraid to go over any little dip in the road.

What's everyone opinion on the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit? With the filter screen, of course.

The new interior started in 2011. <3

Unrelated, picture taken yesterday near Como, CO. Wanted to take Boreas Pass to Breckenridge but it was closed four miles in. The four miles that were open were covered in snowmelt.

ARB springs and shocks.
I truly don't believe a better spring or shock is made without spending twice the money.
Spend the money and be happy!

I love the 5150s. Just swap out the shocks unless you're planning on crawling or jeepspeeding. You may want to throw in some poly coil isolators ( energy has generics that work) to plush up the ride when the suspension takes a full cycle quickly.

The 5100s will also work, but the rebound on the 5150s is a lot quicker, which makes for a more comfortable ride when the suspension has to cycle quickly ( potholes, faster driving over bumps, etc.

For sure! Once my little guy is able to climb in the backseat himself and I don't have to worry about putting him in a child seat, I'm trading my Unlimited in for a 2 Dr Rubicon

found a SWEET LJ. For that money though, I'd prefer to pony up $10k more for a '12 JK I think.

That is sweet, but yeah, it is hard spending that much on a used vehicle. Especially when you can get a brand new Sport for that price. Damn Wranglers hold their value too well. Great if you have one to sell, not great when you're looking to buy used.

especially after sitting in a JK with the new interior. As much as I loved my TJ, it was basic inside.
