Another thing that helps is a cheapy rubber backed bathroom carpet.

We are planning on doing a 130 mile expedition on Saturday. Maybe I'll steal the mat from the bathroom and see if that helps. Thanks.

Yeah, I buy 2 or 3 at a time from Tar-jet so when they get too nasty to clean I throw them away ('merika)

We don't do Target anymore. We have had credit card/debit card information stolen from two local stores and their online store. That happened all within two months. Regardless, if the one in the bathroom works Saturday, I'll be buying a few. Thanks.

I love it. Want... so bad.

I'm trying to get through the next nine to ten hours before my nine days off. Some parts arrived yesterday, others set to arrive next week, an expedition planned for tomorrow... I am so ready for vacation.

That's not a theme. Jeeps were used as mail trucks, I think, before the white mini box vans that we have now.

got my new Frontier a bit dirty saturday afternoon. had an opportunity to try out hill descent control going up and down a sand/gravel hill and attempted various other calisthenics. Overall I was very impressed with the truck's capabilities bone stock!

Of course the place I was wheeling wasn't exactly a "legal" place, I'm fairly certain I was trespassing however it was one of those places where it is never enforced. all the local kids bring dirt bikes and quads out there on trailers and don't get harassed. my friend and I brought our RC trucks and had a blast as well.

Don't get me wrong, it looks bad ass.
Well its easy... for folks sans harness bar you just take it all the way up to the main hoop.

I crawl... so keeping the weight over the rear axle has a HUGE advantage in the way it loads the front springs VS a carrier which puts it out back and lightens up the front end.

But yes this is not intended for overland people, this is for severe trail use. although there is still plenty of room, I could fit my sub and all three of my trail repair/tool bags in the back with room to spare.

Prolly enough room to pack out for a 1-2 day with a cooler... no rover tho.

Yeah thats right... I went there... lol

It certainly does. I'd never heard of that car before.

I have a soft spot for amphibious cars. When I lived in Minnesota I saw a bunch of Amphicars and I really want one because they are ludicrous and terrifying.

there was an article about it in the late 1980's and it was a "future car"....GPS nav, etc. I just randomly found it again after searching for a few years. The title of the article was "Buffalo Soldier"...I remember that because I just discovered Bob Marley at the time (I was a teenager ) and the SUV/Crossover thing was flipping COOL! It was quite unusual for the time when Cherokee's ruled.
