Anyone here know about 196x(4) Nissan Patrols? It's a sweet little ride.

Indeed it seems that way, overseas shipping basically.

From the one Pirate Thread-

Quote:
First, the Nissan Patrol was sold in the USA from 1961-1969 with total numbers sold being 2616. A Patrol has never been sold here since by Nissan. I am 36yrs old...when I was 17yrs old I found a Nissan Patrol here in the USA and bought it. Since then I have been hooked on these trucks!

well heres my jeeps. ive had three, all xjs, just sold my last one (the red one about a week ago).

my first jeep was a 1996 jeep cherokee, it had some hella lights, 4" fabtech lift with old man emu shocks, bunch of little things, 32x11.5x15 wheels, headers, flowmaster 44, hi flo cat.

my second xj was a 1995 sport with a 4.5" rough country lift, sat alittle higher than the old jeep but was definitly less flexy. flowmaster 40, high flow cat, same tires, same rack and lights

then the third was a 1994 sport with a 97 engine swap, headers, magnaflow muffler and cat, ARB front and rear bumpers, hellas, same size and type tires, rock sliders, rhino lined interior, frame and underbody, trans skid.

thats it for now but had to sell the red jeep to pay off car loan. but will have another xj in the future. planning on a two door that will be chopped into a truck and 6.5 or 8" long arm on 35's with full size axles

Bypass. I need better tires, my $500 CL special Toyo Open Country MT's are fine but not great. Plus I have learned ledges tend to be an exercise in wheelbase, and I am very far away from changing mine, if ever.

its practical its the weekend car. i normally ride my bike or take my tacoma, all while i build my fj40. And i never said I was practical i said its odd to trade in a brand new car (as you will always lose money on that)

edit: my STI or his?

I only ended up loosing $1,500 on the trade and I put 12k miles on it so I don't see much of a loss. And by practical I meant a lower monthly payment haha, I plan on getting another once i pay this thing off though

Yes, as I noted much earlier the Toyo's don't care. I pretty much can go as low as 6 psi before I start to see any real difference (I would compare it to 11 psi on the KM2's). It's kinda ridiculous actually and it's my only real complaint about them.

Lift is done now, finished after dark so no completed pics. Starting bumper, fenders, and rigid duallies in about an hour or so.

That sucks. I'll probably go back to the TrXus MTs when it comes time to upgrade my tires. They were pretty nice. Soft compound, quiet on the highway, lots of grip in the mud and snow(even at normal pressure), and I never had them balanced. They never needed it.

They are also insanely expensive at nearly $300 more than MTR Kevlars (maybe even more because the MTR's I can get locally). I am ways away from tire replacement but they are both in the running, I just wish the TrXus was so insanely $$$$.
