Has anyone played around with octane to see if it helps efficiency with the new engine? I've been tempted to put 89 in the tank to see what happens...

doubtful it will matter at all. I would like a tune to get back the 10-20hp the Wrangler loses over the other applications

Does anyone know what I should be able to get if I were to sell the soft top, factory side steps, and 17" rims and tires?

Anybody want to talk to me about Comanche's?

Been wanting to get a small truck for awhile now. Chevrolet/GMC are off the list, period. Dodge and Ford are maybe (not preferred) Toyotas / Nissans are way over priced out here (seriously, insane asking prices) then I thought, holy **** I trust Jeep and they actually made a truck for a short time in the late eighties/early 90's. From what I understand it's basically a Cherokee up front with a Chrysler rear end. If I got one it would be 4wd with the 4.0 in it. Anybody here have one? Presumably typical Jeep (the only thing we replaced on my Mothers Cherokee was a water pump at about 280k)

Comanche's what?

Comanche's reliability?
Comanche's weight capacity?
Comanche's wheelability?

ARB is what I would recommend. They're already made and ready to ship and come powdercoated too. Everything I have that they make is high quality stuff.

ARB JK Rock Sliders

I noticed that too but it seems to be pretty standard for any quality brand. Mine were only $199 for my old ass Toyota!

I don't have any pictures handy but I've had the Gobi rack installed on my JKU for about a year now. Took awhile to get it but the fitment was great and it was very easy to install.

It took the folks at Gobi four hours to install the rack. They ran into issue after issue.

It did turn out great though:

Can they be used to step up into the jeep? My wife is short and needs something to step on to get herself in.

Yep. They are frame-mounted, bolt-on, and bomb-proof. The weak spot is that they are bolt-on and seriously rock guys will probably want something welded. Mrs. Boxer uses them to step in and out of my Jeep. Also, they are relatively cheap.
