1996 Jeep ZJ 5.2 that needs to have all the JC-Whitney stuff pulled off ot it the PO stuck on.

Sorry for the crap sell phone pic.

155k, runs good except for wonky PS pump and leaky heater core thats driving me nuts.

Current plans is to remove the running boards, maybe a 3.5" F to R lift and some 31's. I just want a little lift and offroad tires with out breaking the bank, which I am already broke.

I got to watch this guy try to get yanked out by a Nissan pickup with a 5-speed and open diffs. He did get him out, but it smelled like clutch and burning mud after.

His problem was not knowing what was under the ice.. He didn't know that there were some fairly substantial ruts going 90 degrees to the line he picked. His wheelbase put both axles in the ruts.

My ride:

2000 Hilux 3.0 SR-5 turbodiesel. Only mod so far are diff breathers. I think a snorkel or engine management chip might be the next mod. Also thinking about doing some home-brew biodiesel.

I have to say that the off-road shops here are more well-stocked than any I've ever seen. I'll have to snap a picture next time I'm in one.

Also, these are pretty cool - I've seen a few around town:

There are some vids and more pics at:
http://www.sixwheeler.com.au/image_gallery.htm

One question: does anyone know what year the Tacoma was first offered with a crew cab? I'm trying to get my Yakima rack to fit the Hilux, and of course since the Hilux was never sold in North America, their fitment guide doesn't help. However, the Tacoma and Hilux are supposed to share most of their body panels, so I figure that the rack components designed for a Tacoma should fit mine.

Just an FYI for everyone...

http://www.4wheelparts.com is running a big sale on most of their wheels.

Especially Pro-Comps. I just ordered my black 7089s they were 25% off with free ground shipping. I do believe the sale ends tomorrow at midnight.

haha well that crappy yard is my house I bought when I parted the Jeep out. I had to part it out for the house. And that yard is the back of my backyard....ha its nicer in front of that fence I swear!

I wish I could get it into the garage so I can work on it. Sucks working in the dirt.

EDIT: And now my 3 Subie's take up all my cash besides the house. Mainly the STi.
