Its done. Mike G and David stopped by and helped out. The install went pretty good, but I only helped a little.

Winslow is getting pretty fast at those. It took us longer to install the AEM pulley than the up-pipe (j/k)

Uppipes are getting easier. I just wish Subaru made the heatshield on the right exhaust manifold easier to get off.

I can't believe that AEM with their precision machining equipment made that pulley. When installing this pulley, make sure and have a log handy.

Man that pully was some crap! Winslow's equipment
(RallyX13) has more percision than AEM. I hope my pully install goes better. It should though, my car is simple and slow compared to you peoples WRX's..

Do you remember the black WRX with the Wings West wing? His name is Eugene. We installed the uppipe and the pulley in his car. The pulley was the AEM Tru-Power alternator pulley. Sorry, no pics. KRIS forgot the camera. To do the pulley correctly, you would need an impact wrench because you can't apply force without the alternator trying to turn. We improvised, cut the belt and used it for protection from the channel lock teeth. Then we got one person on the breaker bar and another on the channel locks and prayed to god that no one would slip and bust some one in the head. The inside diameter of the pulley wasn't machined to the right diameter of the alternator. We used a dremel and bored the hole. I'm not sure how much performance was gained from just the pulley. The pulley is a lightweight, over drive pulley. Hmmm? The uppipe should see a gain of at least 8 hp.

Sounds like you had a party . Does the Uppipe loss some of the turbo lag? I can feel the Lag in Code-7's car when he gets on it. It doesn't feel as bad now as it did when he first got it because he didn't know how to dirve it. But now he's got it and you can still feel a little of the lag, but not that bad.

The tru-power from the pulley came from the blue anodized finish!

We should be doing a Stage 0 kit this weekend and I will remember to bring the camera this time!

Next time someone better bring the beer.

Yes, the uppipe loses some of the turbo lag. There is a noticeable difference in turbo spool up compared to stock.

Hey Winslow, do you think your car will pass emissions with the uppipe cat gone? Let us know. I don't suppose you have any way to do a dyno run?

I was wondering this too. I would think if you took it to like a quick lub place to get it IM'ed they might not be too familiar with it and not know it was gone. Does it show/say there are 3 cats on the IM sticker under the hood?
