what is the best way to fix a dent?
i have a small dent with a scratch in the middle under the door handle of the right rear passenger door... should i: -pay $$ to get it fixed? -cover it with a sticker or decal? i am thinking of covering it with the STi titanium fender decal, even though it's not the fender... my father also says that i shouldn't take it to the shop because it costs a lot to fix a small dent and the paint they use won't last... and suggestions?

Paintless dent repair works really well as long as it's done by a qualified professional. Here in NY we have a "Dent Doctor" who comes to our meets and does his work right there, it's amazing. The dents are usually 100 percent gone.
If there is paint damage such as a scratch of course it will remain after the repair but it can be touched up and will still look better than having a dent there. Check your local phone directory for "paintless dent removal/repair" to find someone who does this in your area. |

I can't answer that because our local guy is an independent franchisee so he sets his own prices, plus he also gives us special deals at meets and because we give him so much business.
Also the price will vary depending on the size and location of the dent, and particularly on how much work if any is required to gain access to the other side of the damaged panel. In general though, this type of repair is far cheaper than the conventional hammer-sand-fill-paint methods not to mention the results are far superior since there is no repainting or body filler. |
