Thumbs up SFS Intercooler hoses

I went to Exeter Subaru last week to get some intercooler hoses. I was expecting them to have Samcos, but instead they had a brand called SFS. They told me they were from Australia, and were more rigid than the Samco hoses. For $120, I bought them.

I am very happy with them. I did not have to hack them in any way in order to get them to fit. There was some flashing on the inside of the hoses, but I trimmed it off with a small knife. I did an uppipe install at the same time I installed the hoses, so I'm not sure how much of the performance gain is due to the hoses, but the car is definitely faster now.

By the way, the hoses were red.

How can you know that they're good?
Maybe you car could be even faster with just the stock IC hoses and your new uppipe? Now you installed the 2 together, you'd never know ...

Well, by holding the stock cheesy plastic hoses and these new Silicon hoses in my hands, it's pretty easy to see that the SFS hoses are better than stock, at least from a quality standpoint. I know some people with the Smaco hoses that had some fitment issues. These things fit perfectly. They also cost less than the Samco hoses.

As far as performance, I can't imagine that the stock hoses are more free flowing with those ribs.
