Default Will this offset clear brembos 04 sti?

Rota SDR 17x7.5 in Steel Gray
+53mm

I saw the sti list saying that the 17" SDR's clear but it had an offset of +48. Will the +53 still clear? Thanks.

I am pretty sure they will not. The +53 was designed for wagons since they have less clearance, and smaller brakes.

The +53 offset is stock on the STI, wagons might have been +53 also in '04 but it's not listed in the spec's and I own an '07 (+55) so not much help with the '04 wagon. However if you go to www.cars101.com you can search the archives for all the spec's on Subarus into the way back. The '04 STI is listed as having 17x7.5jj 5x100 +53. Same deal as my wagon but 2mm more outboard.

You need to be concerned with the wheel diameter and inside of face shape a lot more than the offset for brake clearance.

The +53 wagon specific SDR's will not clear STi front Brembo calipers. The only SDR that clears STi Brembo's is the 17x7.5 +48 model. If you run a 5mm spacer in front with the +53 offset SDR wheels they will clear.

Rota SDR , ahh. So it is the actual shape of the wheel in question. I am completly unfamiliar with the wheel in question and probably should have stayed out of it.
