My mirrors on my 04 sti seem to be stained with water spots. Ive used stoner cleaner...windex...water+vinegar...numerous others and yet they remain as soon as the mirrors dry. Does anyone have a special cleaner or formula to get rid of these annoying spots on ur outside mirrors?

When I had hard water spots on my windshield and side mirrors, I used Bar Keepers Friend. It worked wonders. It is very abrasive though so try to avoid the paint.

DON'T use too abrasive material on the mirrors, they're not tempered glass, so they're suprisingly soft. There is a product called Diamondite that is specifically for this and is available from www.autogeek.net or www.diamondite.com

I use this stuff called jewelry polish. It's blue, and almost like a windex. Just use a wax buffing pad, and go to town rinse off when you're done. Works great

Not sure about on the mirror, but when I had spots like this on my windows and windshield, I used a claybar and it worked well.
