Default Reputable source for jdm transmission? Swapping into 07 wrx q's..

After a few weeks now of studying up on transmission options and hours spent on gear/speed calculators for my 07 wrx I've come to the conclusion that I want to run what I've come to call the "legacy GT" gears with a 4.44 final drive.
1st: 3.166 2nd: 1.882 3rd: 1.296 4th: .972 5th: .780
Going off the transmission chart there are a number of differenent transmissions with this configuration. Is there a reliable source to get a good condition box? Is there a particular transmission code that is better than others? Rear diff sources as well? So far I have come up with FXT at/mt, 00-01 auto RS, 05+ outback xt mt.

Secondary questions: I am changing to a pull style clutch with this, obviously. Anyone have a part number for the correct slave cylinder? Also is the bracketing the same for the push/pull slave cylinders?

Do the speedo sensor plugs match up? It's my understanding that the speedo gears are different for each fd so as long as the plugs match up my speedometer will remain accurate?

Thanks!
