Looks nice, black is a good colour for the Forester.

Does anyone else find that the second-gen Forester looks eerily similar to the Toyota Highlander?

Thanks Y'alls.

Rally Armor flaps coming this week, the stockers don't offer enough coverage for the wider tires. Also I think for summers I am going to go with 275's...

I'm not sure how the Rally Armor's will look with the stock splash guard thingys so,..we'll see.

It's in the plans, just finding what fits best. Going to see JasonT tomorrow to see if we can get some KW's on there.

I'm posting the other pic tora took of his new Forester for him. He asked me to post it up because he can't figure out how yet.

Now? Falken Azenis...umm I forget the number, but all seasons. I only got them because they were an absolute steal, 50% of any other tire I could find....sort of through a hook up. For my summers I think I will be going with the RT615's.

Current size is 255/45R18.

I got the rally armor as well, but haven't installed was thinking the same thing about the stock ones and the rally ones, vs just the rally ones.

Have you done a "test fit" to see what it looks like? I think mine should arrive Tuesday so I can try it out. But I definitely need it. I haven't driven over anything bad yet but I can definitely foresee paint chippage if I do not use the RA Flaps. Let me know if you put yours on and I will do the same.

BTW, Drakar, thank you for your review of the FXT and the other cars we discussed. You really helped sway my decision.

The FXT doesn't have the manual option anymore

Yeah, no manual with the FXT and to be honest I probably would have got an auto anyways. GF doesn't drive manual, I live and work DT, I have a puppy and just don't need the manual. I have another vehicle for "fun driving" so the auto works fine for me.

After having this for a few days I have to say I am SUPER pleased with it. I think it is the best all-around vehicle I have had. I hate to call it a compromise vehicle because it does a very good job at all the things I need. I do not have ANY complaints but there are a few things I will change simply due to personal preference, style and power.

Going to see JasonT today for suspension options. Looks lie I will most likely do Whiteline sway bars front and rear but spring/shock or coilovers still up in the air.

Glad I could help, it is by far the best purchased car we have had, (my family used to own a used car lot ) smooth ride great power, visibility.

My wifes will stay 100% stock or around that percent as it's the baby hauler.

While I shall live vicariously via your F-STI, and ya while auto isn't as fun as manual, when you have a manual car this in an auto is just a treat to be able to relax while driving.

ya as for the flaps, probably wont test fit till this weekend, but I can hold it up tonight and take pics so we can see what it'll look like.

looks like they have the stock ones removed and theirs added, which I really like, so that may be my route.

I'm thinking the same thing (to remove stock). The nice thing is my car is black so it they will be "hidden" a little more. Which color logo did you get? I got blue because the blk has a lot of blue flek and there are blue accents in various places around the car.

red logo's, I think it will all blend well because the skirting is black, so it already breaks it up.
