I didnt do anything today and didn't even leave the house. I didn't realize it was V-day.

It's good it fell on a weekend, I hate when people at work get flowers and candy sent to them. It's depressing being single and not getting anything.

Well, I've got a lightly modded 2.5RS, a stock SVX, a 2.5RS chassis, and a torn down motor in my basement

there was nothing in the bag right

even when I was single I liked valentines day, I guess I'm a big sap. I never buy roses though because the stupid mark up is crazy. It is funny watching the last minute scrambling at the malls and florist to get something for the ladies. I even spotted some ladies last minute shopping this year. Good to see the ladies giving the love back.

I bought some chocolate for the kids yesterday, but nothing for the wife. I guess sending the kids off to grampa's place was enough of a break. We watched a bit of "Eagle Eye", then I wandered outside to hang fenders on an old car.

Romantic?
No.

But I don't need a day to be forced to battle other couples for dinner reservations, and whatnot. Maybe our dad's generation needed that, but I cook dinner and give regular massages to the wife. I don't need Hallmark to remind her, or myself of our love.

Next week I'll take her for a nice dinner with friends. No lineups, no crowds, just a group of us enjoying each others company.

LOL so when you were single, did you just stay at home watching movies while you eat the heart shaped chocolates you procured?

This is the first year I bought chocolates for someone, but then I ended up opening the box because I figured she didn't deserve them, haha.

I ended up giving an Obama bobblehead instead

Needless to say, it was just me and the bottle this year...
