This year was awesome. For the first time in the past 5 years I was single and didn't have to worry about reservations and gifts. In fact I totally forgot it was Valentines Day but I am taking my good friend (with benefits) out for a late vday dinner tmrw.

I agree. My last relationship's anniversary was exactly 7 days after Vday. Other than last year I've always rolled them into 1 big thing. It was great till last year when she got some stupid idea from her retarded friends that it should be split. She got pissed at me for not splitting Vday and our anniversary into 2 dinners and 2 gifts. My buddy came to my aid and asked her if I treated her good the other 364 days(dinners, gifts, massages, etc). She responded with a yes then proceeded to shut her mouth. I then proceeded to dump her a few months later.

Another valentine's day come and gone, and still no valentine from the little red haired girl

Sorry, watching Charlie Brown was the highlight of my day

If she was younger than 21, than I can understand that. Young chicks dig that sort of junk. But if she was older than that, it's a pretty good sign that she's bat**** crazy, and you're best off to stay away.

Don't ask me how I know.

hypa, my wife is 26 and is more than happy with the card/flowers/chocolate/dinner routine.

We had a quiet early dinner at Anducci's dressed in jeans and hoodies, and laughed at the few other couples that were there going "all out" for V-day

I celebrated anniversaries with my g/f before she was my wife. We started dating October 19, 2001...yeah I remember the date. We were married August 19, 2005. I guess I'm nuts too.

She was 21 when I met her. She should have just turned 26. I hear she's still up to her usually antics. She's pretty immature, which is 1 of the reasons why I dumped her.

That's a pretty good age aspect. I had just turned 25 when we got married, while she was 27.

My gf thinks my cooking is better than most restaurants anyways so I get to save money and I get to do what I love.

Especially for days like these where you know it's going to be packed, quality of both food and service will likely go down so why put myself through that?

Methinks you should keep your personal life off the internet from now on.

Spent the day driving, snowboarding up at Mt. Baker and had Taiwanese beef noodle back in Richmond. Just a typical weekend for us
