Default Need help with just a motor swap in Austin.

My 1999 2.5 rs subaru has been sitting for 3 years now, bought a motor that would swap easily so I can get my car going again. I believe I threw the bearing on the motor, There was knocking noises as the car accelerated. The cause of it is probably because there was no oil in it. So I figure I'd just replace the whole motor than opening it to pieces.

I had a reliable mechanic but hes too busy to help me out with this one.

I will pay reasonably. I just dont have all the tools like the engine hoist/lift. I can tow the car there if necessary .

Text me at (512) 666-1541 if you have time to help get this done.

Thanks,

Ali

If you go to the Subaru WRX/STI Drivers of Austin page on FB there is a guy on there named William S. (I forget his last name) that can help you out. He helped me install my clutch, and build my motor when it blew. He will work with you too on price

William Simpopulous is the guy you are looking for. He's a mobile Suby mechanic.

There's also a pretty fair amount of know-how in the Bat City Subies crew in Austin.
