I'm taking my track bike (08 R6) to eagles canyon on Sunday. They're having their annual track day toy run. Sat = cars and Sun = bikes
http://www.eaglescanyon.com/2008/home.php

Bring a toy new in the box and $50 cash and you get to ride on the track. Prob six 20min sessions. Good experience and CHEAP.

I've got a 2009 Ducati M1100s Corse and a 2008 Ducati 848. I sold my '07 R6 track bike for the 848 so that will be my new track bitch. Just as soon as I get her ready :\

Same here. Already signed up to work some Track Days in March and going to do some mods to the bike in Feb. If you ever wanna do track days in the DFW area I am in TSBA and we get discounts and loads of club support from members, private track days and discounts on gear, etc etc.

Also club tire changer is at my house. Frank and I are both members.

How hard is it to get engine parts for it if something should go out? I asked at a dealer about them and they said they still had parts in the warehouse but Honda had stopped making them? I dunno if that kids knew what he was talking about or not though.

Upper forty's is tolerable to me with leathers...... It's just it gets so cold when i get off of work. It's been hovering around freezing around 3 am in the morning..... Forget that.

Yeah I can ride around 40's but it is a pain because I have a set dress code at work so I have to change which takes all the fun out of it. It is not being cold on the bike that is bad but the tires. More accidents happen because you hop on the bike cause it hit 50 degrees finally. Go down to the end of your street then pull out into traffic and BAM! 15mph low side if you are lucky cause of cold tires.

I will try and ride to the meeting also. Need to start that damn thing, and anyone that rides below 40degrees on a harley is not a badass, they just don't have a car and have no choice.

Yeah it doesn't take anything, be careful! You need tires anyway.

I communte on my R6 nearly every day unless it's raining and below freezing. Lowest I've ever ridden was 23 degrees in the morning.

The Harley guys are lucky, they have that exposed engine radiating all that heat. Still no idea how they keep their heads warm.

They have that Windshield.....other than that I am not sure. My bike motor gets pretty warm (cause of the fans) the engine it self stays pretty cool temp wise.

But honestly it doesn't make a big difference in the winter. When you are moving it doesn't matter. I would rather it not get hot as it would be nicer in the summer.

To be honest, I havent need much and the dealer has been able to get what i have needed. i'm sure there are some parts they dont make...luckily the hawkgtforum guys seem to be pretty skilled at finding stuff and helping out. i want to swap the front end for an inverted fork and replace my rear shock so it is getting more and more away from stock anyways. maybe i should start hoarding engine parts now lol

I do not know what kinda suspension you can get to fit but I know of a Rear Penseke Triple Clicker for a great deal! I would buy it but it is not in the cards right now.

Also I see Ohlins forks for about 1k all the time, these have the 190lb springs in them stock.
