Just got word that a good friend of mine went down the other day.
Was trying to avoid a coyote, hit some gravel and lost control.

He was wearing a helmet but not jacket. I am going to see him in ICU tonight but have heard he broke his shoulder, 2 ribs, neck and has a collapsed lung. He was knocked out at impact and doesn't remember too much besides before the accident.

He is getting better and they expect him to be ok.

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET, IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!

My brother would be dead TWICE if it wasn't for wearing his brain bucket. Once was from being hit and run from behind while stopped at a stoplight (now he has a steel rod in his left leg from the bike crushing it as the car drove over his frame and front tire making an illegal Left) the other is from laying over his r6 when he was cut off by a car that didn't see him.

Ride safe and wear your helmet. Just because you know what you are doing doesn't mean that everyone else on the road does. A lot of people are idiots.

You meant the Twist the Throttle?
This channel never featured the Aprilia and Triumph somehow

Yeah that show and another one but I dunno what it was called. They did have Triumph on twist the throttle! I caught that one but I have not seen Aprilia yet. Maybe it made it to my DVR??? I would buy the series box set in BR DVD if it is not too much

On Twist? Never seen one.
http://turbo.discovery.com/twist-the...-throttle.html
They never listed Triumph / Aprilia. The only Italian they featured were Ducati, Bimota, MV Agusta and Alpinestars

It was probably "riding on two wheels" when they were doing touring over Europe.

You're thinking of "Trippin on Two Wheels" with Dennis Gage, the guy with the huge mustache that does "My Classic Car".

Does anyone know a good bike shop in Houston? I'm having some issues maybe with fuel delivery or something (I can't figure it out). I've got a 10% off labor coupon for Motorcycles Unlimited on FM1960; has anyone ever gone there?

Sounds good. Does anyone own a truck or trailer and think they could spare an afternoon to help me get it there? I'll pay for gas and lunch or some other reimbursement.

I dont know suspension Joe, I send my suspension to Cali for Javier "trail tricks" mods, hes the KTM guru and has special valving and specs for these bikes. Many suspension tuners who deal with mainly Jap bikes tend not to know how to deal with the small annual changes in suspension the orange bikes get, they require a real student of the game to get right, especially since the shocks are linkageless (totally different spring rates, etc). Ill be practicing somwhere Sat Aug 1 if you want to go. Probably Bulcher unless theres a race, most race clubs arent competing right now.

Red River? My roommate and I go there from time to time. I am out of it right now but would love to do some easy rec riding to get a work out

Well seems like Joe knows what he is doing, he always has KTM's and various other bikes in his shop. I remember when the KTM motards first came out and he did a build for a guy everyone calls "Doc".

Anyways he races in TCCRA in the senior class so you might know him and just don't know it. We will all go ride for sure. Message me or make a post, give me a week if ya can and I will break my arm to go.
