Default ICBC and age

I was told by a few, that ICBC's "unofficial" age for young drivers is considered under 30.

I'll be passing that mark this year and wondering if I'll notice any significant decrease in insurance? (Moreso then the additional year of good driving would've brung)

There is no additional savings once you are over 30 years of age. Since have your license for around 13 years (assuming you got your license when you were 16), you are already given 43% discount. You can't get any better than this according to the claim rate scale. However, from what I know, you can restrict the insurance so that only drivers with 10+ years of experience may drive the vehicle. That would lower your insurance premiums.

I got the 10+ year driving experience discount last year, have you asked about that yet? ICBC wont tell you, and you have to bring it up to the Autoplan agent to get it.

yeah i dont think theres an official "age of maturity" because that would bring up discrimination cases. but there is a 10yr experience thing.

There is one condition though - everyone living in the same house as you must all have more than 10 years experience as well.

I have the 10 years driving discount, which was around 200~300 saving I think?

Everyone living at the address WHO DRIVES the car yes. My parents used to have the same stipulation on their car when I lived at home.

My insurance agent said anyone with a driver's license in the house hold needs to have more than 10 years driving experience. Doesn't matter to me since everyone in my house does have 10+ years of experience, and pretty much all of us are roadstar too

My brother and I didn't have 10 years experience when my parents had that rule. They were told anyone who lived at that address who would drive the vehicle needed 10 years experience.

It doesn't matter for me either, since Michelle doesn't have a license. All of the drivers at our place have 10+ years driving.
