Looks like I should be able to get my stuff together next week and be at Atco for the 28th and E-town for the 7th, really looking forward to seeing everyone out there.

You only need a 2000 rated helmet for drag. Here are the NHRA (E-town and Atco usually follow these) helmet rules for 2008 (I believe they are unchanged for 2009):

2008 HELMET RULES
The 2008 Raceway Park season is about to get started, do you have the proper safety equipment? Racewayparkstore.com has the lowest prices around on snell 2005 HJC full and open faced helmets.
Be sure to check that snell sticker on you old helmet because NHRA rules for 2008 state that "any car running 14.00 and quicker in the 1/4 mile requires a Snell K98 or 2000 or newer OR SFI 41.1A helmet (see complete list below)". Also a new NHRA rule for '08 requires that "any car running 9.99 or quicker in the 1/4 mile requires an NHRA approved FULL face helmet with visor.

The NHRA 2008 Rule Book Reads as follows for Helmets and Goggles:
As outlined under Class Requirements, drivers in all classes, including motorcycles, must wear a helmet meeting Snell or SFI Specifications. Snell K-98 is acceptable in place of any Snell M-rated helmet.
SFI Spec 31.1A = Snell SA, open-face helmet
SFI Spec 31.2A = Snell SA, full-face helmet
SFI Spec 41.1A = Snell M, open-face helmet
SFI Spec 41.2A = Snell M , full-face helmet

Effective Jan. 1, 2008, full face helmet with visor mandatory on all cars 9.99 or quicker. See Individual Class Requirements for additional requirements.
E.T. cars (13.99 or quicker) must use a helmet meeting Snell K98, 2000, 2005, 2007 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 31.1/2005, 41.1A, 41.2A or 41.1/2005 Specs. Drivers in supercharged, front-engine, open-bodied cars and Funny Cars must wear a helmet meeting Snell SA2000, SA2005 or SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, or 31.1/2005 Specs. See Class Requirements.

NHRA Helmet Expiration Dates
Label Expires Label Expires
Snell K98 1/1/2009 SFI 41.1A 1/1/2014
Snell 2000 1/1/2012 SFI 41.2A 1/1/2014
Snell 2005 1/1/2017 SFI 31.1/2005 1/1/2017
Snell 2007 1/1/2019 SFI 41.1/2005 1/1/2017
SFI 31.1A 1/1/2014 SFI 24.1 (JDRL only) 1/1/2015
SFI 31.2A 1/1/2014 SFI 24.1/2005 1/1/2017
Modifications to helmet/shield are prohibited. All hemets must have the appropriate certification sticker affixed inside the helmet.

I'd like to go to Atco and see everyone run. I'm not sure if I will be able to go yet. I got my new wrx together and running last night. I'm taking it to get painted tomorrrow. Then I have to get new tires mounted and align it. So maybe Atco for me, E-town for sure.

Getting kicked out is my goal! I've been working on the idle and smoothing out fuel trims + AFRs with the bigger injectors. Gonna see if it passes inspection tomorrow.

I sold the silver one over the weekend after putting it back to all stock. Now I have a MBP bugeye wagon. It has everything from the other one swapped over to it, engine, suspension, turbo, wheels. It was a lot of work, but it's done now. I always wanted a wagon and saw this one for sale with minor front end damage for $2500. It was too good of a deal to pass up so I bought it. I replaced all the front sheetmetal and got a carbon hood for it, I'm just about to leave to drop it off to get the fenders and bumper painted.

In the future, I also have an EJ22T block for it along with a phase 1 2.5 crank to build a 2.35 stroker. I'm going to do that, a 6 speed and a 20G or green over the summer.

I will be at E-town for sure. IDK about this weekend at atco.
