Default WTB/WTT Thule Ski Rack

I have the smaller ski/snowboard attachment (2 snowboards, 4 skis) and I have a bunch of friends coming into town. I need the bigger version that holds 8 skis/4 boards. Willing to trade and throw in some cash or just buy one.

Here's a pic of the one I have:

Thanks!

I have a Thule 6 ski/4 board carrier that is brand new and never used. Their isn't a rack that can hold 8 ski's to my knowledge. I paid $150 for this a few months ago and i would let go for $100.

pm if your interested

Are you talking about my smaller rack? If you want to buy it I can come up with a good price since I don't really need it anymore

I don't really know what these go for so forgive me if I'm low balling you. 150 picked up?

Just to be clear. Are you selling the whole assembly or just the part that holds the boards?

No it would just be the ski/board attachment not the rails or the any of the base. Actually I was just looking to buy the bigger version and since I found one I don't need my old one.

So if you want to buy just that one piece we can work something out

Could you point me in the direction of what else I need for this to work on my car so I can price it out.

Sure thing. If you go to the thule site (http://www.thuleracks.com/) you can see what you need. To be honest, a new setup is really expensive. $300 for the base and load bars, $120 for the smaller ski attachment, and $80 for the wind deflector. I bought a used setup for half the price... Just make sure you get the right kit for your car because it's not universal.

They also sell them at ski market, REI and other outdoor shops. You can also buy a Yakima rack, but I don't know what prices are like on them.

Bump. Since I'm picking up a bigger one today, I can sell mine for $70. It's $120 new

I will consider all offers so make some Comes with lock and key(s).

No I've never been... I'm glad you a blast! You always come back hurting your first time...Just don't get addicted to it because between cars and winter sports it's a miracle I can afford food

Bump. How about $60?

Someone should buy this because when you do decide to get a rack, you will be shocked at how expensive it is

I'm gonna give it a bit of time because I feel like $60 is already 50% off (more if you consider tax), and I think I will get that price. Would I have to ship it to you?

Also just to be clear this is just the 4ski/2 snowboard attachment not the base or the rails or the wind deflector.

A bit of history on the item because I always insist on full disclosure I bought it as part of a used package for my old VW. It came from CO so I am the second owner. It looks like it has been on the roof of a car for 3 or so seasons. Not beat up, but definitely some freeze cracks on the silver bit. But one thing I can tell you is that the locking mechanism never slips and functionally it is perfect.

Thanks bro. Think it retails for around $120 plus locks. So yeah with tax and extras around $150.

I'm installing the one I picked up from you today Can't believe how great the timing was!

No problem. My mom gave me money to put towards a roof rack for my birthday. All I have left to get is this so ill talk to her tonight.

Also I could come get it from you so it would not have to be shipped

You may have lucked out bro: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1701817

That plus $60 for mine and buying new load bars will come out to be one of the best deals on a full kit I've ever seen

Update: Ended up taking the attachment off and the mounting hardware was stripped/rusted/jammed Ended up breaking the plastic clips.

I guess no one wants it anymore... So it's off the market
