Default testing waters. '97 240sx. 450hp, RB25, GT30, etc.

well, im just wondering if there is any interest in my car. its been "kinda sort of" for sale for the past 6 months. im sure plenty of you know that trying to sell a modded car right now is a waste of time. so with that being said, i was actually curious about trades. i'd be interested in a WRX (or STi) of some sort (OB or forester + cash ??), and i hate to discriminate, but i refuse to own a silver car.

anyhow, heres some info on my car.

its a 1997 240sx, se. the car itself has roughly 52k and some change (updated 7-6-09) on the clock, and is relatively clean. could use a pro detail though. i purchased the car with 44k on it, and as a rolling chassis. everything that has been done to the car has been done by a shop.

heres a list of mods:

MOTOR:
-Nissan skyline R33 S1 RB25DET engine/trans.
-Mckinney motor/trans mounts.
-Mckinney driveshaft.
-Koyo S14 radiator with Samco hoses.
-Greddy VSPL FMIC.
-Greddy intake manifold.
-Greddy timing belt.
-Greddy catch can.
-Tial blow off valve.
-APEXi N1 Dual tip 3" catback exhaust.
-OEM nissan RB water pump.
-N1 RB oil pump.
-Infiniti Q45 throttle body.
-Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump.
-3" downpipe and custom WG dump.
-GT3076R .63a/r.
-Tial 38mm wastegate.
-SSA T3 topmount manifold. no issues thus far.

ELECTRONICS:
-AEM EMS, and temp sensor. MAP sensor.
-AEM wideband O2 sensor.
-APEXi AVC-R electronic boost controller.
-APEXi turbo timer and harness.
-DEFI BF- boost, egt, and oil pressure gauges with control module.
-LS auto recalibrated tachometer.
-battery relocator kit.

TRANSMISSION:
-Fidanza 10lb flywheel.
-RPS 6 puck sprung clutch. rated to 520 lb/ft of torque.

WHEELS/SUSPENSION/BRAKES:
-STANCE GR+ PRO full coilovers with traction springs.
-Wilwood Superlite 4pot big brake kit w/ 13" GT rotors. (front)
-Brembo blanks, oem pads, agency power SS lines. (rear)

EXTERIOR:
-USDM kouki lip.
-JDM kouki rear bumper.
-JDM kouki rear valences.
-JDM kouki front grille.
-Klight 4300K H4 HID kit.
-Seibon CF trunklid.

EXTRA CRAP:
-Alpine CDA9856 head unit.

i need to replace the power steering pump and windshield as soon as the spring hits. it could use a few things to make it even better, but its a hell of a start. this car has cost me roughlyl $30k, and im afraid if i keep it, im gonna throw my 650's on it, slap some new pistons and rods in it, and crank up the boost. its a medium sized turbo, but it should be good for 550ish. i have wimpy 225's on the car right now, and if its about 60 degrees out, it will spin the tires from a 40 roll. from a dig, they will spin to 70+ mph.

anyhow, the car is quick, and sounds amazing.
i was looking to get $15k as it sits. if someone wanted to build a real monster, this is quite the starting point. if not, it still gets the job done. breaks plenty of necks on top of it. even the old school guys find it pretty cool. especially when they find out it has more than 4 cylinders, and is rwd.

like i said, theres a few issues with the car.
-no reverse lights or horn.
-could use some new valve seals. puffs a little bit of smoke.
-windshield and PS pump. (im gonna replace these as soon as it warms up)

i think thats about it. i havnt really even looked at the car since early october. its just chillin' in the garage. im not 100% on getting rid of it. after dropping all the coin on it, i think im more attached to it than i thought.

but again, i was looking to get $15k for it. if i can find some more pics, ill post them up. nothing new till spring time though.

thanks for looking.

EDIT, I ALMOST FORGOT! CAR IS LOCATED 1 HOUR NORTH OF DETROIT. $15k or will consider trades.

i still have this thing. just spent $150 on a new optima redtop. still needs a PS pump, windshield and rear tires.

car gets lots of attention and compliments. it just doesnt get driven much. i'd fix the little odds and ends, but im kind of saving up for the fall semester... sucks, but priorities are priorities. i believe it has yet to hit 53k miles.. i got it with 44 and some change. i've had this thing for roughly 5 years, and it hasnt seen even 9,000 miles with me behind the wheel. sad stuff, considering it's cost me about $30k since i bought it. lol ( )

anyhow, if anyone is interested, its easiest to get ahold of me via email. i am now an iphone nerd, so i get emails as soon as i recieve them. not to mention, i only make it over to this forum every few months or so.

EMAIL: daner.van@gmail

thanks!

i just re-read my ad, and im not only interested in STI's. i should change that. i'd prefer to sell outright, but i may be up for a trade of some sort. if i were to get rid of the car today, i'd probably be interested in the following:

-E36 M3.
-Mk4 Jetta TDI.
-WRX/STI. maybe OB or forester + cash?
-ford powerstroke diesel.

preferably something close to stock. like a low maintanence DD type of deal. anyhow, that's all off the top of my head. thanks again for looking!
