It is a long block, oil pump, water pump, oil pan, valve covers, timing belt and covers. I am holding it hostage until I get my beer.
It has been in my storage bin for at least a year now. Temp controlled and not wet at all. I can take a pic of it for you today as I am going over to pay the rent.

So is the block new or punched out? What heads are on it? New/refreshed? Cams etc.. What type of JE pistons?

What was the motor built for? Time attack, 1/4 mile etc..?

Do you have the receipts from Element Tuning?

Thanks
-Tim

I think is it is a refreshed stock 205 bore with 205 heads and cams. Any other info Amazake will have to chime in. I know Phil built the motor for his own car and then a few weeks later subaru dropped the 257 bomb on the world and Phil decided to go with the 257 instead of the built 205. I have been storing it for him that is why I responded to you. I will send him a txt to get back to this thread.

Tim-

I have contacted Phil to see if the block was new or refreshed. I am also looking for the receipt.

Here is some other info. Phil built this for his time attack car the JE pistons are drop ins. Here is a quote from a message Phil and I shared.

"Weíve had the best luck using OEM head gaskets and head studs on our Time Attack WRX running up to 35 psi so we stuck with it on this engine. The piston compression ratio is 8:1 and the piston skirt clearance is about 2 thousandths. This makes for a very quiet engine but itís also enough to handle high HP without excessive blow by.

The heads are not decked and the valve train is OEM. I decided to keep it this way as thatís how my old race 2.0 in my WRX was 3 years ago. This netted us 458 whp running C16 using an FP green turbocharger. On that engine I regularly hit 8000 rpm without too much power drop off (GT30R) and I had hit as high at 9K rpm when I broke and output shaft while drag racing and it all held together. I had tuned a similar 2.0 with larger valves and JUN 272 cams but it only gained about 8 more HP so I felt it wasnít worth the upgrade given that I built this engine to run 400 whp reliably."

These are the best pics I could get of the motor. I was all alone so I couldn't move it.
