Default FP Green, SZ 49, Blouch 2.5 R on Stock internals

I am really torn between these 3 turbos and wanted to get more information about what kinds of experiences people are having with each. Rather than turning this into "My turbo is better than yours" thread can people just toss me results and experiences. Preferably with stock internals and what kinds of tuning and supporting mods you guys have. Lastly...how well is the stock block (EJ257) going to handle these 3 in the long run?

I ran my frank 50 with meth on a stock block for a while. I now have a dom 4 with meth. Those 3 turbos will be ok on the stock block as long as you maintain the car and dont rag on it all the time.

Well I dont drive my car much. I had the frank 50 on there for 5k miles for about 3 years. My car has 10k miles on it now. It saw the drag strip about 4-5 times a year. That setup got me to 386 whp. My new dom 4 is at 430whp at 22psi but I am going to get it tuned for 100% meth and we will see how long it will last. I used the meth as a saftey blanket to keep the egts down so the stock pistons would be happy at that power level. My guess is if you dont floor it from stop light to stop light it will last a while.

There are too many factors to tell you. How your car is tuned, maintained, driven, and even modded. I plan on doing blouch 2.5 in about a month but I am going the light route with no meth c16 and a tmic. It should last a while.

I have a FP Green at 20 psi with 391whp on 93oct

Ya it may look like alot and all crazy but the crucks of it are:

Full header back no cats
PE850s and Walbro
utec
reverse manifold-custom intercooler
one step colder plugs

Hill at Agile Auto "my tuner" says with meth and AEM management I'll be around 450whp

funny how some tuners say this EM or that EM will get you 50 hp more and others insist there is no difference.
Nice setup there ^
I ran an SZ49 for over 10,000 miles, and I'd go straight for a stock location 30R rather than one of those.

fp Green
Perrin FMIC
TBE
APv2 road tuned
100% Meth
stock block/tranny
Been like this for almost a yr
As long as you maintain the car it isn't as much power as most think
put down 371whp on the meth
stock Sti is around 210

I got a blouch 2.5r
had it since April last year, so about 10 months now. 15k miles so far, with 4 trackdays, each with 5, 20 minute sessions

Supporting mods are:
Cobb APv2
Cobb LGT Intake (Bigmaf) with Cobb airbox,
Perrin Afta Maf hose
Perrin turbo inlet
Blouch 2.5r 8cm2, standard inlet
APS TMIC with APS TMIC splitter
Prodrive boost solenoid
PE850's/Walboro
Helix catted dp
Borla Hush Exhaust

Everything is doing just fine right now, my iron content on my last blackstone report was getting a little high, "indicating that engine had a hard life" I usually run a few gallons of 100 mixed in with 91 when i do my trackdays, on my straight 91 map.

2005 sti, 2.5 liter (in my profile)

It's set at 20 psi tapering to 18, on the 91 map

I have the 95 map but have only ran it about 4 sessions during the two track days combined. I try not to run too high power during the track, and focus more on my lines. I do full throttle it the whole time and ocassionally hit the limiter if i forget to shift

any of these turbos will be fine on stock internals for a long time if you have the right supporting mods.

what really matters is the tune.

Those numbers on that dyno are pretty badass....esp. with that powerband/spool.
