dude looks like he has a 02 wrx (usdm) but this is the wrong forum

the block itself can hold probably close to 500 whp before the sleeves will start splitting but the internals are good to 300 @ the wheels, depending on the tune, how you take care of the engine and how you drive it

FYI, a stock ej205 will blow up if you beat on it enough.

my car went 109K till it seized up on a road course and it was bone stock, no exhaust, no nothing.

then i bought it from its owner and got it running again

It was released in 1989 and it's 2009. I think "almost" is an understatement.
