Post How much does Boston Acoustic kick ass (not fishguys!)

More than I can post on this board without being banned!

I spoke to a guy at BA two weeks ago about my mid-range 6.5" speaker being blown, and I told him they are 1 year and 2 months old based on my purchaing date. Warranty is one year. He told me to pack it up and ship it to them, write a note that &$%%* said it was alright to warranty. I was like, "yeah right, I am going to send this thing to Ba and never see it again".
So, I tried to go through Tweeter again, but they really could not do anything because the speakers are an old model now.

So, this week I e-mail BA from work. I get a responce from the same guy I spoke with saying warranty is one year, and to ship it with a copy of my receipt. I e-mailed him back saying we spoke before, and wanted to know if I could drive it to Peabody instead of shipping it, and that they speaker was over a year old. (Now I am thinking I am screwed because he will remember me, and be mad that I asked twice).

He calls me at work, and asks to refresh his memory. I do. He asks for my address. I give it to him.
He says, "only one is blown?".
I say, "yes, but I am concerned the other one might go now, since my first one was defective."
He says: "O.K., I'll ship you two new speakers then".

I could not believe my ears. That was yesterday at noon time. Guess what just came via UPS! Two brand new speakers. I don't even have to send my old ones back!

yeah me...

Wow... I love to hear all those good customer service stories...goes to show, some company (ok maybe employees that work at XYZ Company) are making an honest effort.

Valentine is like this. I had a problem with falsing on my V1 and I sent it in saying what the scoop was and also how the darm suction cup wasn't working so well... Then a day or say after I sent it back I get my V1 back with the problem fixed and some extra suction cups. hehe. Cool!

Yeah, about a year ago the wife and I decided that we needed real speakers to replace the 15 year old MA Monitor speakers we had. After about a week, we finally decided on Boston Acoustics and plopped down $2k for a 5.1 set of speakers. I couldn't be happier with them.

No problems so I have no support story, but I just thought I'd chime in on the speaker quality. Great stuff!
