My partner is 38 and has a 1999 WRX with full STi kit and 22B wing, exhaust and STi intercooler. She loves it and I can feel the difference in weight between it and my 2003 WRX.

On a serious note, they migh have something under the hood, but from the sound of the engine and exhaust (of which there is none) and the stance of the car itself, I'd have to say they are stock, or very close to it. Sure, they might have a GT30 or something like that with the stock exhaust and cats, but I doubt they are making optimal power like that.
I've owned a WRX for almost two years and the number of others who have waved, regardless of age, is on one hand.

I'm almost 37 and have a 2010 WRX with White Line Sway bars (front and rear), SPT front tower brace, SPT Exhaust, STi shifter. I definitely feel like my pears don't get it but, they drive Fusions, Accords, Impalas, Mini Vans, Toyotas, etc. Life is so much better behind the wheel of a WRX!

Cool When was 30?

Lemme see, first and only new car is my '02 bugeye wagon. I musta been 42 then, so we're pushin 50 kinda hard here. UTEC ate my rods (well that last bit of extra timing after 6 years of running a base tune might of had some thing to do with it) and I'm now waiting on my 2.5 short block & 6-speed to get me into my 50's.

I'm 29 going on 50.
About 4 years ago, my taste evolved to exclude kits, wings, multi-colors, and now even scoops. My 05 WRX sedan is bone stock and I plan on a FMIC mainly to get rid of the scoop. I might press a few more lbs. while I'm at it. Mine has the stock WRX wing which will be gone eventually. I'll do this stuff when I can afford to drop money on looks. I do want stiffer sway bars/ end links, cowl stays, and mudflaps. Damn, I seem old to myself.
If you're trying to decide if you want to dump money into kiddie looking stuff, I would save the money and you won't look back someday and regret it. That's just me though. I met a guy in his 60's who's into Hondas; 17" w/ low pros lowered, exhaust, wing, ect. Different people evolve differently.

I'm just wondering because this will dictate how I build my car when I pay it off. Im currently 28 and like the racer look, but not sure if it would look cool when im above 30, (ex. too boy racer)

i'm 35. I've owned my car for 9 years.

No exterior mods except. wheels/tires.
Swift R-type springs I suppose could be considered exterior, the drop the car about an inch. You can see the stainless exhaust (dual tip borla hush).

I wanted subtle since I bought the car though. Nothing really changed when I became 30+. My tastes have always been to mod what I want (performance) and leave the rest alone (cheaper that way, draws less attention from others... especially those in law enforcement).

I'm 33 and traded a stock bugeye that I owned for 2 months in for a 2004 that already had a cobb TBE, UP, cobb front and rear sway bars/links, anti-lift, wilwood front bbk, cobb springs, window tint (which I had to remove 1/2 of because I got a ticket for having it on the front windows . I then slid on ice and damaged some parts and hence upgraded to sti forged front control arms. I had a mbc and a perrin equal length installed and got her tuned. I have Rotas with nexen tires that I never use, I run my Enkei 17" 5 spokes with kumho xs's. hopefully picking her up sometime this week from my tuner, Innovative Tuning, again this time with a slightly used vf48, aps tmic, FIC 650cc's, fresh plugs, fresh amsoil, inlet pipe, and dyno tune.

54 and just bought an '05 stage II Saabaru Aero. I bought a '95 Legacy wagon brand new and still have it, but now that the kid has grown I'm going back to something with more performance. Up until the family hit, I was a fast-car kind of guy since I started pit crewing at Lions drag strip back in the late 60s. My first car was a '68 Z-28 and I've had a need for speed/performance ever since.

Cheers,

I turned 62 last month and when Maxwell gets my Trans. built[Albin's]I can turn this built motor up some.Since us old people spend most of the time slowly along in the hammer lane, I hope these Kelford cams and 3076 will have enough power to move over when you young folks want by.

Yah. Does anyone make the giant wing for the 08+s yet? Strangely enough, I think it would actually improve visibility on the 08+s.

29 and I have a a new GTR, Infiniti M, My RB powered S14, and my JDM RHD MK4 supra and lately I've noticed that I like my cars tastefully modded instead of going crazy with them. Just different enough to call them my own but still stock enough not to call too much attention if I don't want to. Plus resale is always kept in mind now days.

31, have a 9-2x putting down 485Tq on E85 with all supporting mods. Only one tripple digit speeding ticket so far (car was just stage 2 then ).
I have officially put more into the car then what I bought it for in 2006.
