I peeled that tag off since then - The salvage STi we used for the project still had it on there and it made me chuckle. (under 6000 miles).

Does anybody have bosses or clients come in contact with their car and make comments?

40 stage 2 pro tune with electronic boost control, radiator and alternator cover from Killer B, extra set of wheels with Blizzaks and a 2,400 watt competition car stereo system that you can hear for miles. The huge factory wing looks kind of ricer but oh well it is functional. Sometimes I feel kinda silly bumpin the stereo at 150 dbs but nothing recharges the batteries for me like loud music and speed.

kid on bmx in the campground: "hey man, I like your car"

38 YO ,3 kids, Wife, 2 dogs, and a 2010 DGM hatch.....LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOve the car. It helps its a stage 2 protuned to 300hp. Spends most of its days in the garage but it goes out cruising most thursday nights. Whether you are 20 or 50 this love affair runs deep......

47, just traded in an '04 WRX for an '11 STi. I can't stop getting older, but I refuse to grow up. Old WRX had modded trans, up/down pipes, SPT exhaust, custom tune. New one still has "new car smell", which I am trying to savor

My kids (14 and 16) much enjoy it when I take them to school instead of the wife. My wife has known I'm an immature loon for years and loves me in spite of it.

Wife hasn't driven my new STi yet, but she had used my old WRX a few times, and got serious giggles out of having some kid try to start a race - especially when that kid happens to be one of her students. Oy, talk about awkward.....

My GF is afraid of my WRX I did try to teach her to drive stick in it she manger to get around the parking lot on the third lesson, but wont go out on the road.

Kinda offtopic. I am out of town now, and reserved a full size car. They ran out, and offered me a Dodge Grand Caravan for the same price as the full size car. I now realize how much I love my WRX Wagon, even though this Caravan can haul everything including the kitchen sink. This van makes me feel OLDER than my 38 years. I will say, it is easier to get my daughter into/out of the back seat. Sliding doors FTW. Otherwise, I would have been happy to somehow transport my car 1800+ miles.

34 and just bought my first Subie.. 2011 STi. Coming from a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee it is a huge change and I love it.

I'm 37. Had a wrx stage 4, sold it last year and bought an STI limited, stage 2 now. I like not having a blue interior. It's all preference. I personally stay away from the giant spoilers, to many stickers (monster) Things that look cheap. I put my money into the engine. Nothing wrong with fast, lowered, tinted, and wheels. Stealth. I took off my STi badges and because it doesn't have a huge spoiler people usually can't tell what it is. Just depends on what you use it for. Taking out clients or auto-X. IMHO

I'm 54, have an '02 bugeye with 100k, stage 2, STi wheels I bought in latte '02 [first owner] and I'm getting ready to replace the original suspension. Never worked on a car that easy to mod, that enjoable to drive and drive hard.

Can't say I like the new products from SOA, most of them are getting bloaded with weight. The beauty of the '02 - '05 was how light the car was. I'll just keep enjoying my Rex.

My wife gets a lot of giggles out of all my compliments as well. I have to say that I am stunned by the number of MILFs who think my wagon is "cute"! I tell them NNOOO....any word but "cute"!

36, had 2 legacy's before but just traded for a 2011wrx and I love it. My wife hates it, and said I am going through mid life crisis....... I don't care bc she has her BMW 325 and my son wants mine when he gets older.........
