I had a BMW 540. No denying the fact that it had an Autobahn-oriented suspension and a luxurious interior. My STi is much more spartan, and when I'm driving at 70mph, I *know* I'm driving at 70mph. If both of them were in my driveway, I'd probably pick the subie every day except for the days I had to sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic, which are thankfully few.

I'm 37 and about a month ago, some guy at my work comes up and asks me if I'm the one that owns a subaru that looks like it belongs in a F&F movie.

just turned forty one and own an 07 wrx tr for the the last 8 months. So far full limited leather interior swap, Perrin FMIC, K&N Typhoon intake, Tokico D-Spec shocks and Tanabe lowering springs, Borla cat-back exhaust, Stage 1 tuning and 235/45R-17 Yokohama S.drive mounted on 17x8 O.Z. Alleggerita HLT ORANGE... i think that is it.

For now

32 - 07 OBP STI. Built motor, dropped of the scoob to get rotated, spearco FMIC, 5857 turbo and supporting mods to go E85. I bought this because it was the best car to buy in my budget that still had the spirt and heart of a performance car.

WHAT? ANY CONGRUENTS ON... EH?

I kid, I kid.. mostly.

My '11 STi combined with the grooved concrete of Houston's freeways makes for a lotta noise at 70mph. Normal conversation with passengers is comfortable, but listening to music is challenging. Talking on the bluetooth on the freeway is possible, but not enjoyable.

That said, if I wanted to talk on the cellphone all day, I would have bought a Camry.

I am 39 but I bought my WRX (2006 WRX wagon, Limited) when I was 36. Everyone I run across loves the car both at work and around where I live.

I'm 34. My '07 WRX, which I just bought in June, is jokingly referred to as the most practical and mature car that I've bought yet.

Turned 32 recently, purchased a 2011 STI - oddly enough, I'd wanted one since 2002 but could not convince the wife to get one until they came out with a hatchback. She really wanted red but the 2011's in Canada don't come in red, so she let me get blue as long as she got to name the car "Super Grover".

Fair compromise.

I'm 60.

Last week I ordered a 2011 WRX Limited to replace my 2008 WRX. The 08's been excellent at everything I've needed, and I like the 11's handling even better.

You and I have the same car, same mods. Different paint job. Also love my car... though, with a growing family comes the need for more space.

30, just bought '11 4dr STI yesterday. love it. Dad made fun of the wing though... then said he could trade his Carrera in on a GT3 with a similar sized wing to "compete"

I'm 49, drive an 04 wrx wagon (bought new, I take care of my cars). So what?

Have an 11 wrx on order for my wife (her pick). Business keeps up, I may buy another one for me in the Spring. His & hers 11s, red and wrb. Suddenly, 50 doesn't look so bad anymore .

When this thread started, I was only 59...but I'm 60 now, though my 2010 WRX still has <2000 miles on it. 50 certainly looks good from my side! I won't likely be modding my WRX beyond a better sound system.

You guys are young. LOL I wanted a wagon so an STI was out, but so was a WRX with the too stiff ride for me, especially in a city with lumpy streets, and even my "i" took a while to not beat me up, but I had an injury that affected all systems, even muscles. It is rare that I can drive like I want to, and just getting over a pinched nerve in my neck that had me seeing double, and not even able to drive my old Chevy. Drove the Sube the other day, and with shifting it was extra work, But still hoping for able to handle more power. Once in a while all systems work, and I drive faster. I have a lot of mods I want to make, that some day I hope to get done. I have the parts...

I'm 66 and injured, and age is Just a number. When I saw a friends grandfathers new red 70's Dodge Charger in his garage when he was 97, he got pissed when I asked if it was his....
