37 here and seriously considering my first Subaru...5-door WRX. I was a bit conflicted at first and wasn't sure I wanted the "boy-racer" look but I'm over that.

Trust me, it is a short trip, and you only get one. Use it fully or regret what you never did. Worry about who and what you are, not what others think. That is their problem.
i agree i grew up around big blocks most of my life and i like the subaru. was gonna sell my widebody STI to get a GTR but i like my Widebody just gonna get rid of the WRX now and get a 06-08 Forester and start another project soon.

30 y/o here with my first suby - 2011 STi 4dr. The wing does scream "boy racer" but I think the meaty all-seasons, RA flaps, snowboard & single bike carrier also scream "utility." So I like to get to Lake Tahoe as quick as possible... sue me!

I'm 40 and love driving my 04. It's not crazy fast but gets the job done and surprises a lot or people.

Did you use wheel spacers in the front? And where did you get the wheels studs?

32, '11 STI, own it outright. For now, finishing my custom stage 1 tune. AVCS is a bit tricky to get right.

This is my 3rd Subaru. I've owned a RS, a WRX and now the STI. I'm planning to pick up a Tribeca for the wife in the spring.

34 here and finally scored my first WRX. $1500 for an 02 wagon with some burnt valves. I can't believe it took me this long to buy one. Midlife crisis? Yup!
