There's more and more girls especially in the sf Bay Area driving wrx's it's weird.

My mom is 73, and loved my car, and would love to have one. I promise you, she would put the hammer down. She used to race motocross in the 70's.

I live in between San Fran and sac. Just had a friend who is a girl pick up a 2012 white wrx with the limited package.

I let her drive my bugeye around for a couple months. The reactions she got from people and guys were pretty funny.

I'm 30 now and on my 3rd Suby. Now have a '06 AW STI, just started building her, so far APS hard turbo inlet, 3" catless bellmouth dp and 3" APS catback, perrin cai on the way. Getting tuned in a couple weeks. Coils, sways and bushings coming after the holidays.

I started with a '02 WRB WRX 6 years ago, traded that for a '06 Legacy GT 5sp now my wife drives the Leggy. We are a happy suby family.

32 and 1 month in a 2013 WRB WRX as of tomorrow. Traded in an 07 Sonata w/118k on the ODO. This is my first Subie and my daily driver. Other car is a 1988 Porsche 911 triple black whale tail with 61k original miles, all original inside and out in immaculate condition.

This will not be my last Subie. working on mods already. Already have done full interior and exterior light swaps, debadged, plasti-dipped and acquired a set of 17x7" Subie 03 STi OEM rims and winter studs from father in law who had them sitting. Planning on a CAI, 3" downpipe and Accessport soon along with some sound dampening, all audio, a touchscreen in the dash, and modifying a radar detectors interface into my gauge cluster.

and a lot of other stuff...

34 here. No signs of mid life crisis yet (which it sounds sort of like you are describing a mild case of)

Nothing is stock except the exterior, but thats just cuz I put the money where it counts. I would say stage 2 or 3??, Sti or better on everything, built motor, sit oil pan, new vf39, new pinks, new alum rad (big ups to image import racing on the good pricing), new FMS TMIC, all new racing headers and pipes, cat less, new clutch... the list goes on. 275 awhp, 310 torque on a WRX. Fastest one I drove yet, though I'm sure there are much faster. My only regret was not keeping the EL headers, but they are just so quiet.

30 here and bought my 03 WRX new and still have it with some fun mods. Been thru 2 legacy's in the meantime and just got a XV Crosstrek yesterday to replace my 09 Legacy. Im really happy with it thus far as its primarily my commuter car. Guess im getting older because one of my points was that I didnt have to damn near fall into the legacy anymore ( still have to do that on the WRX, dropped on Swift springs like 1.8" or so...)

the first 3 were circa July 2010. the last one Jan 2012. currently in the shop for oil change, sunroof weather strip replacement (Porsche glued these in and it's cloth wrapped rubber which finally ripped after 24.5 years), rear sway bar mount fabrication (passenger side broke). expecting it back next week, to the tune of $800-$1000 in repairs. car eats repair bills like this 3-4 times a year.

I'm 32.

I have a 2013 Base STI Sedan in WRB. The exterior body is completely stock and I love the look. Many people that I know tell me they like the look of the car, but if they were to own it, they'd get rid of the wing.

To that I say: Give me the wing, or GIVE ME DEATH!

i think the wing is silly looking for a car owned by an adult...i'd probably keep it though..lol

or you could get a hatch with a less vulgar looking wing

the wing is really the only thing that i'd change about my WRX. and i'm hunting for one. i don't want to look like an STi (inevitable) i just like it better with the wing.

I respect that.

I may be an adult, but I grew up watching WRC with McRae, Burns, and Solberg behind the wheel. I grew up watching Best Motoring, I've probably seen 90% of all the best motoring videos. I adore the authentic JDM look. I'm such a kid at heart, I always will be when it comes to cars.

Give me that wing, or give me death. I don't care if I'm 80. An STI, ain't an STI, without that rear wing.
