Do I count since I once owned a Dub? I almost bought another one before the WRX. I found a sweet 98 VR6 GTI with only 10000 miles on it but passed it up for the WRX. I'll buy a VW just to fit in.

Remember, you guys are now part of the mafia. Go out and recruit. Once your numbers increase, you can break away from the corporation and start your own family. I'll be there to help your numbers grow. Club-Dub!!!

lol, Werd. I think I will change my name to Vinnie. Lets see, I have a 01 Jetta, my Roommate has a 97 Jetta, my Twin Bro has a 90 Jetta (we all live in the same house) having a Mk2, Mk3, and Mk4 jetta's outside looks pretty coo. My bro's Jetta is not in Perfect shape, but not in really bad shape either, but he is going to find a MkII GTI really soon and mod that up. But yeh buy a Vdub dude, lol.

Are we talking dub enthusiasts or dub owners?

I've owned:
'71 Super Beetle
'72 Beetle
'97 Jetta GLX
'00 GTI GLX
'98 Jetta GLX

And I have my eye on my dad's '98 GLX....

Damn thats alot of Dubs! I am curious, looks like all your "recent" dubs have been Vr6's. You ever thought about the 1.8T?

Code-7 and I have been moding VW's for the past 4years i think. Then he sold out and got a WRX . At my house VW's have always been here.

'80 Dasher
'90 Fox (Still have)
'99.5 Jetta TDI MK4 (Parents car)
'97 Jetta GLX (This was Code-7's car, he traded it in for the GTI)
'89 Jetta GLI 16v (Brothers car this summer)

Code-7 and I both love the VR6. I did think about a 1.8T, but I just love the sound and power the VR6 gives you. Its harder to mod but its worth it in the end. I hope to have mine SC next summer if the money is there . I hope some more dubs come to the meet, then we can have a Dub only picture .

Same here, plus my new neighbor is remodeling his house. So there are tons of vans and trucks in the road. It makes our narrow road even worst. Only one car can go at a time.

I guess I'm the closest to being a Dub.

I know a lot of WRX owners and I came here once with a question about the used market. Cool crowd, so I stuck around to lurk.

Can I still be in with the Dub mafia even though my ex-wife has my Dub? She took my Black 1.8t Wolfsburg Jetta.

My first car was an 80 Scirocco. Great little car, but it had the 3-speed auto. The engine got really tired and started leaving puddles, so when it was at Eurocar getting looked at Greg said they could either rebuild it or swap engines with a totaled 86 GTI Golf with 5-speed for the same price. Went with the engine swap and it sure made a difference
