Default The official roadster thread.

Heated leather seats are for wussies.

There is one requirement--any car posted here has to be a roadster or convertible like vehicle. I hate Miatas, but don't let that stop you . I love old MGs, Spyders, Japanese roadsters, t-buckets, Caterhams.

The problem is being over 6ft tall and fitting just right. I love the feel of these kinds of chassis but interior room always leaves a bit to be desired. They're basic, bare bones, and tuck you "in and down." I don't fit in really small ones, and I'm not sure what to look for as far as a slightly larger one. Finding one out of town looks more and more like a necessity. That's the first thing that will drive me away from any car that's too small which roadsters can often get. I love my "old" RS so much because of the sunroof and the big coupe windows. The radio often gets turned off so I can hear and feel the wind and the car.

I think you feel me without too many pictures, but here's a few.

Caterham

Old school Maserati

Lister Corvette

Datsun

Porsche 550 Spyder

Miatas, Cobras, and Vipers are boring .

I like those, Dolphin.

I'd rock one of these, too.

Here's one I found on GIS. Probably old news, but I'd never seen it.

Technically it was a roadster...

2 cars i built up and sold over the summer...

First 2 are of my 69 datsun 1600 that I tracked for a bit, white one is also a 1969 but it is a 2000 model.

Sold the red and traded the white for a bmw 540 6 speed that is now for sale so I can get back into convertible mode for the summer. Maybe an s2k?

3rd pic doesnt have a top so does it count as a roadster

and last car obviously isnt mine.
1 and only prototype lambo miura spider restored to original condition by yours truly. went to pebble beach this past summer. if you want it let me know, maybe i can hook you up on the 3 million dollar price tag

They're more fun in one piece

Some oddball thing

Manx buggies are cool, too. I love ghias, but these things look like fun in a warmer climate.

I don't need a CD player. I need sunscreen and a water supply .
