Default 3" bellmouth ebay dp > stock WRX catback

Well, sold my exhaust and waiting to pick up a different one and for the time being I had to toss on a stocker but every time I shift it makes a sound like my cars misfiring or something. I dont really know what I can compare it to, except the sound of like the popping noise from your exhaust when you let off the gas or something. Is it because the downpipe is made to fit the stock exhaust? How bad does this effect my car?

Just a guess but Im assuming your dp is catless, therefore unburnt fuel is igniting in your exhaust creating the popping noise, completly harmless performance wise, keep in mind Im still a newbie so wait for some vets to chime in.
