I am interested in the swaybar. Did you have it in your 99 OBS? I ask as I am looking to put this on my 98 OBS.

Thanks

It was in my '99 OBS and will fit just the same in your '98 OBS. That said, I have someone coming today to potentially take it off my hands. I'll get back to you if he falls through.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. Also how did you like it on your OBS and did you have a defferent that stock rear sway bar?

Well, the guy I met today didn't take it today, but will take it in a week or so, so consider it sold for now.

As for how I liked it, I liked it plenty, and yes, I also have the Whiteline adjustable rear. My suspension is far from stock (http://www.jenandneil.com/28fsp) in general though and not really streetable anymore. I'm getting rid of this because I upgraded to the Tribeca bar.

The Tribeca bar is 25mm, but slightly different in shape, so the numbers probably don't make a perfect translation of strength. That said, I've barely driven the car since putting it on and I haven't driven it in any performance circumstance yet. I'm sure it's stiffer and that's what I was looking for.

According to the Rallitek site, it fits all normally-aspirated Imprezas from 1993 to 2007.

Hmm... the Tribeca FSB really feels stiffer than the Rallitek 22mm? You've got it sitting outside of the endlinks right? I can't decide if I want a Rallitek 22mm or Tribeca 25mm.. I hate how the Tribeca one sits outside of the endlinks but 22mm doesn't seem stiff enough for me.

The Tribeca bar is significantly larger than the Rallitek bar - it's a 25mm diameter. And yes, it sits outside my endlinks (albeit custom-made ones), but even with my tiny 13" race wheels with way too much backspacing, they don't hit the wheels.

interesting.. i think i would be more worried about hitting the tie rods though at full lock. seems to be an issue that was brought up after a bunch of people put the tribeca bar on.

well cool if you feel that it's stiffer, THAT is what i'm looking for. i'm sad that we only have 22mm options so if we really have a stiffer option, i'm going that route.

especially since you just sold it :P

I don't think I've ever hit the tie rods at full lock. I don't recall even thinking they appeared too close, but then again, I've got a lot less suspension travel than most Imprezas, so perhaps that's why.
