Default 2004 Stage 2 4EAT WRX Retuned by 555 Motorsports

2004 4EAT WRX Wagon
Mileage: 72,000+
Gas: 92 Pump
Applicable power mods: K&N short-ram Typhoon intake, Helix UP, Helix catted DP, GReddy EVO 2 CBE, and Walbro 255.

My first tune (sans Walbro 255) was a road tune by a local tuner. Shortly after, I noticed some boost problems and in short, decided to start over and do an internet tune with Matt Cater of 555 Motorsports.

First revision from Matt was . After several revisions, which included adding a Walbro 255, I had a chance to revisit the dyno and my initial impressions were confirmed:

The first tune (in red) was dyno'd in early January on a DynoJet, and then it was dyno'd again yesterday at the same dyno. Please note that the AFR were read at the tailpipe.

I applied a STD correction to both runs, but let me know if I should use a different CF or none at all.

In any event, I'm really happy with how the car is running now, but would love to hear your thoughts, especially other "Stage 2" 4EATs. You would figure a road tune would yield better results than an internet tune, and the internet tune was cheaper too

Sweet! I know we can't really compare, but I'd love to see your dyno charts/graphs if you have them handy

I don't know? If I were to richen it up some to the 11.5s or so, will there be additional gains?

Forgot to mention that the AFRs were read at the tailpipe for whatever that's worth.

The AFR"s for the car are actually about half a point richer. at peak torque they are 11.5 and at redline they are at 11.1-10.8 depending on gear (taken right after the turbo before the cat). The AFR on the dyno was taken at the tail pipe thru a cat so the AFR reading is a little on the lean side as a result.

You have to remember too, it is a 4EAT so there is more drivetrain loss as a result
