Default Do I need a Wire Harness?

Anyone know if I need anything extra (like a wire harness) to replace stock unit on my WRX. This is the new unit http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=PLDVD180

You will need a wiring harness so as not to cut off your factory plug and a 1DIN pocket to fill the rest of the whole (unless you're putting your display in there too).

I am putting my LCD ontop and the head unit on bottom. Do wire harnesses come per brand or per model?

I bought mine from Sounddomain.com. You could also try a local shop or Best Buy/Circuit City (although I didn't have luck with them).

Check the sticky FAQ at the top of the forum for the pinouts of the stock harness.

I bought mine at Circuit City. They didn't have one specifically for the 2002 WRX but the one that they did have for Subaru worked. I think that the one they had will "work for sure with a 99". That's what they told me. Thought I would take a chance. Turns out if worked just fine.

Man, I hate Circuit $hitty
