I know the crew I was with has some good pictures and video, so there's got to be a lot more from the weekend. Post it here.

I've got plenty to put up from our weekend.

Short version: Started out fast, hit a tree, slowed down, stopped w/ electrical issues, hit some more trees, got some help changing a flat tire, eventually finished.

Worked as a marshal on stages 1, 6, and 12. I would have a bunch of good pictures if I hadn't accidentally flipped the manual/auto focus switch to 'manual' after stage 1. Fliz, what was your number? I may have a picture of you going by marshal position 12 on stage 1.

I was going to take more pictures on stage 6 but we had about 50 spectators show up & keeping them from crossing the road, etc. took all of our time. We had a good photo spot on stage 12 (right after the crest before the hard right w/caution) about 3 miles from the finish, but (a) I was too cold to take pictures and (b) the white Subaru broke down and pulled into our position.

Nuts. I remember when you came roaring by - I was trying to explain the flick manuever to the college kids spectating at our position. I saw your car in tech inspection on Thursday at the fire station too.

Too bad about that. Stage 1 was our best of the weekend, our only 2wd stage win.

Here's the first tree I hit last weekend, on stage 3.

Anybody want to guess our speed when the rear end stepped out?

I worked with Crew A on friday and saturday. This year was a blast. I will be marshaling next year and hopefully work at least 4 stages. i got 3 stages this year. 1,6,12. And i've got a lot more pictures to work through.

If it was as fast as you went by our position I'd guess 60 +/- a bit.

What car were you in? I was riding in the black STi with MO plates, and had marshal position 12 on stage 1.

We were there with the red Mustang. I'm too old to corner fast, so I got the Mustang to drive up to the corner, stop, turn the corner and then accellerate away.

heres a short compilation of video. its only about 1/10 of total usable footage i have. and we weren't anywhere near the stationary video cameras we set them up and just left them run...we got a few hours of nothing too lol

I hope someone got some video of my spin. It was at a 90 right at a spectator location. I decided to show off and goose the throttle to throw a little gravel for the spectators. I managed to loop it into the ditch and end up facing the wrong way. I powered out of the ditch and back to the spectator point and spun it around with power to proceed on down stage. I was laughing. My co-driver was swearing.

Okay, I remember you. My work-mate and I were the guys that showed up last to the training session on Friday.

Did you see the puppy that the ACP Rally team rescued/adopted? They had it with them at the awards dinner and were feeding it doggy biscuits.

haha no i didnt see that.

I left the dinner around 11:30 because i had to drive hwy 32 east to get home....... sucked. nearly got stuck on a black ice covered hill because someone was off in the ditch. i was sliding sideways up hill in the on coming lane towards a blind corner...not fun

32 was no fun at all. We came into town that way and it was tricky in the Mustang - 4th gear at 1000 rpm would still cause wheel spin climbing some of the hills. The Jeep escorting us in was worried almost as much as my co-driver.

Driving back from the party to Salem and north the morning after reminded me a lot of Sno*Drift. I've got pictures from the driver's seat of Salem and Steelville that show the difference.

Even though I tried to direct anyone heading toward Salem from stage twelve down route 19, I went down Y, 49, and 32 back into town just to see what the fuss was about; kind of like touching a door frame with a 'wet paint' sign. Had I known things were running late I would have tried to get to 15, too.

Sorry about leaving you there Richard, we thought you'd notice we went right towards 19 instead of left back towards the start of SS15.

The biggest difference between SS14 and Sno*Drift, is there were no snowbanks to "correct" any mistakes that took you out of the tracks.

No problem. I was in direct radio contact with the safety crews waiting where the ambulance had been parked so I had to go check in with them. They were waiting for us so I figured I better go tell them where we were. I saw you turn right.

are you taking about the wreck where the red truck was at the bottom of the 15 ft drop? if so, i was the driver of the blue wagon with red wheels. the truck had 5 kids and 2 adults in it, with only 2 passengers wearing seatbelts, the 1 year old in a car seat and a 10 year old boy. the 2, 4, and 14 year olds were not restrained, along with the parents. pretty scary stuff... we waited with them for the ambulances to arrive and take them off...

no it was an older guy in a newer dodge truck
